  • @eleanorhawkins It is a big deal! Yay for you! It used to take me 72 minutes to do a 5k. Now it takes me 43. That is still so slow compared to many here. But you know what, we are faster than everyone who doesn't try!

  • @MobyCarp I am proud of you! It takes me an hour to do four miles as I am a 14-15 minute pace. A year and a half ago it took me 27 minutes for one mile though, so there's that. I hope to be as fast as you someday!

  • Major thunderstorms. Bad lightening and massive downpour. They let the 1 milers go. They held 5k and 10k back for 30 minutes and then cancelled.

  • Active hobby? Not really. Running and lifting are not hobbies to me. They are essential. My hobbies are reading, fish keeping, aquascaping, hard rock/metal concerts, and extreme deal hunting. Not much time for any of them right now, though. I was sorted into Slytherin as well.

  • I can't eat anything at ALL for at least 3 hours before I run. Nausea is the least of it. Sometimes I can't finish a run due to cramping even. However, I can shove food in my mouth the second I finish a run. Gu gels work for me, but only certain flavors. Some are way too sweet. So I use the ones I know work without issues.…
