Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow US peeps. I will not make goal this month as I have hamstring tendonitis following my HM a bit back. I had registered for a 5 miler today. I went. I ran 2 miles stupidly then walked 3. Ouchie. Back to no running for six weeks (at least). November goal: 75 miles 11/1: recovery 11/2: recovery…

@7lenny7 I am doing alright. I just feel a bit worn out still. Short recovery runs are not really enjoyable to me. I prefer longer distances. Therefore since I am not feeling it while running, I feel in a funk. Does that make sense? It's more mental than physical.

I don't use any specific plan. But I walk in every run over 3 miles. After 3 miles, I run a mile, walk 1 minute and repeat. I find that I am faster that way than if I run continuously.

I have been able to get to my diary at times and other times not. Community has been fine. App has been trash. Seems ok now.

As for the follow up question, what is health? This is a different question/answer for me. It's one that I ask my patients all the time. It is different for every culture and for every person. For me, it IS a healthy weight. BUT it is also a healthy mind, a healthy body, healthy relationships, etc. It's NOT any one…

I unfortunately don't have time to catch up with everyone here. I bet you all continue to be amazing! As for me, I am now completely healed under my boobs and I am going to try my new bra on a long run tomorrow. I am stoked to run again. It's been over a week. I am at least completely recovered in my legs, but I am tired…

Ya'll cracking me up with the tmi/male/female/tampon conversation. My man buys them. He even knows exactly which ones I want.
-
I imagine it is a ridiculous frustration for you. I have other issues that may be too graphic for the men here. I hate how certain things are and are not covered by insurance. But that's a whole other thing.

Thank you!

I see. Can't direct people to groups that ate not MFP groups.

I am in the 100 mile club again for November. I ran 120 miles in October and would have run more if not for temporary sidelining. What have I done for my future self? I became a healthy weight from morbidly obese. I started running and lifting weights. I am furthering my education. @hanlonsk Thank you for the…

I don't remember which one of you linked me the bra, but it came today. I can't wait to try it out! I'm treating the wound appropriately, and I'm using desitin on the chafing which is working superbly! I have decided I need new bras and that I need to look for seamless ones. They also need to be VERY supportive, so…

You guys are funny and yes. Enablers for sure. No super glue for this. I wouldn't use super glue anyway, I would use wound glue. However, I don't have access to any. My place of employment does not actually have it. This wound needs to remain open to air and to stay dry until healed.
-
@Elise4270 I agree. However, I am currently treating an open wound (two if you count my still healing elbow from the fall) under one so I am literally avoiding sweating until it heals. I don't want an infection. However this lack of activity is making me insane!

I'm pouting. Today was another impromptu rest day as I'm still plagued by the chaffing issue. I can only hope my new bra arrives tomorrow. Today was supposed to be five miles, and tomorrow is supposed to be 12. October Goal: 100 miles 10/1: planned rest day 10/2: 4.5 miles 10/3: 9 miles 10/4: 5.5 miles 10/5: 7 miles 10/6:…

@eleanorhawkins Lol. Thanks!

@7lenny7 Glad all went well! Great race reports and awesome bling, guys! Today I did yesterday's 8 miles. I used some ginormous padded bandaids under my girls and it worked well enough. @amymoreorless Thank you! I promptly ran over to the link and bought one to try! @HonuNui I most certainly can not go without!

@rheddmobile Most certainly not fungal. You're right that many people do confuse the two issues. I have to explain that to patients frequently. @Elise4270 I think you have hit the nail on the head. I hadn't been on the scale in a while, and I have gained 12 pounds!
-
I currently have three active pairs of running shoes and 7 new ones in the closet, so already do have issues with finding a place a to keep them! I was scheduled for 8 miles today, but took a rest day. TMI warning.......I currently have too much chaffing on the underside of my girls. Bodyglide no longer works. Yesterday I…

Last night I ordered a headlamp and a new running belt that can also carry a water bottle. This morning I ordered two more pair of the balega endure socks. I think I might have a problem.
