At least I voted and was pretty involved in the iowa caucus this time around. So I guess I have earned the right to complain. /grumble

We grind 90% of ours, so I typically make chili, tacos, sloppy joes and the like.

Usually a big swing down in weight loss is followed by a mild upswing for me. It will come back down eventually. Just don't sweat it.

I know how you feel, but you can always think of housework as a light form of exercise. FWIW When I get really busy, I find my crockpot is my best friend.
-
Yeah, we got it the last time you said this.

Cast iron skillet and my seasoned pizza stone.

Cardio is overrated IMO for weight loss. It is helpful of course, but you should also lift and lift heavy.

I had the EXACT same problem with my right knee.. until last week. First of all, when squatting put all of you weight on you back foot. Try not to extend your knees beyond your toes and most important for me was, make sure you knees and toes are aligned when bending down. I can squat all the way down with 100 pounds now!

Im not doing this anymore if the end result is spongebob. That is comedy gold lol
-
Are you lifting weights? If you aren't, I would recommend starting and lifting heavy. It is impossible to target specific parts of your body for weight loss.
-
Personally, I log it every morning.
-
I always eat after. I always feel terrible when I work out with a full stomach. Just be sure to drink lots of water beforehand.

Do you think they don't know that these foods will make you fat? Sorry, but I think a lot of it comes down to being lazy. Most of these foods take no time to prepare and taste good. Like you said, get off your butt and put some effort into your meals.
-
I wish I had that problem. There are...consequences with too much fiber however. Your body will let you know ;)
-
This sounds awesome.
-
Hmmm, first of all why low fat? Fats are good and necessary. Also, I would imagine if you really can't digest these foods, you would be losing weight FASTER not stalled. You might be malnourished, but if it doesn't digest it wouldn't be...well digested =) Did you go to a medical doctor or some 3rd party "health expert"…

Sugar is sugar. Figure out your macros and stick to it. Fruit is better than candy as you get beneficial nutrients/fiber along with the sugar, but your body processes it exactly the same.

Yikes..

http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html LOL I guess he did take a multivitamin and a protein shake. And it was 28 pounds..and it was 1800 kcal.
-
Sugar will not by itself make you gain real weight. It is all about the calories. There was a guy that went on a twinkie diet just to make a point. He lost like 20 pounds by eating 1500 kcal worth of twinkies a day :p
-
Good for you. You have the right idea. Lift heavy!

I try to load up on veggies and fruits when I get close to my calorie goal early. I like the cheesy steam veggies that green giant sells. I think they are like 60 calories a serving so if (when) I eat the whole box, its like 180 calories. It helps "pad" my smaller portion meals if you know what I mean. Also, what 126 said…

But I dont LIIIIIKE running, it hurts my knees. (Careful there are "highly sensitive people" around here. We must not upset them for they will whine even more.)
-
Mmmm I love the "pop" when I bite into the intestines. I can't wait to stuff my own sausage this December.
-
I would just try it. You might love it or you may hate it, but at least you will know. If I was in Hawaii, I swear I would be so fat. With the poi, the kalua pork and the sweet bread from Punalu'u... Mmmmm.
-
They almost look like slices of bologna ;)
-
Well, this is refreshing. I expected the normal "omg I am over my goal by 300 calories what do I do??" Jeez, I had a fried tenderloin sandwich followed by a fried chicken drumstick and a brownie today lol. Oh and yesterday was crap also. I think the key is to keep it in moderation and get back on track the day.

Get yourself a french press.
