I put on a pound and a half last week. A couple of days later the same scale said I was 3 pounds lighter. It can water retention, a discrepancy with the scale itself or a multitude of other things. Don't worry about.

To answer your question though, drink as much as you want as long as it fits your macros/calorie goals. I personally like to drink them whether I go to the gym or not.

I do a 50/50 water and milk for a meal replacement at lunch time. Its easy repeatable and keeps me full until dinner.

I eat when Im bored. Its terrible! MFP really helps keep me in check. Is that cold piece of pizza in the fridge really worth the 400 calories? Am I really hungry in the first place? Nah, I can wait for my quinoa and chicken at 7:00 =)

I do 2 scoops every day plus an egg in the morning. Seems to take care of most of my protein needs. What is your concern specifically? Calories?

I try to buy food that is as close to nature as possible. In other words, A plain old apple is better than an "organic" pop tart or whatever.
