For months ( not right now, but I should get back to it, because it was fantastic) I had Mean Green juice for breakfast and lunch. About a pint each time. Felt ready to jump tall buildings. It's plenty of nutrition - about 300 calories a pint, gives you all the energy you need, and leaves you plenty for a nice dinner.…

Thanks, all. I guess I do need to lower my calories a bit, which stinks, but there you have it. I appreciate your time.

I went from 1200 to TDEE -20% at 3 1/2 months ago, and am still gaining. I am very frustrated!

Anything baked - cookies, cake. Just can' t do it. And pasta - good heavens. It looks so innocent.

Can you explain why this is? I had read that you should never go above a weight that you can do with proper form for fear of injury. How can you hurt yourself by using to LITTLE weight?

I JUST finished one on FitnessBlender and really liked it. And it's free!

log fruit and veg, and set your diary to track fiber . . . you'll be impressed!

I know it sounds daft - and I started it as a sort of panic reaction when I had cancer (I'm fine now) but discovered that when I had green juice for breakfast and lunch I had tons of energy, never felt hungry . . . so now I do it regularly. No squirting, no problems, no nothing. Don't knock it till you've tried it, people.

I wouldn't go more than a few days on just juice - I often have it for breakfast and lunch, and make sure I get my protein in snacks and dinner. Try googling Mean Green Juice for a standard recipe. I use romaine, kale, apple and lemon (lemon is essential - makes the kale much more palatable, so you can use a lot more, and…

Er, sorry - stickies?

Gosh - not sure I understand all this - it's late, and I'll sit down to it tomorrow when I'm fresh. But thank you very much for taking the time - I really appreciate it.

Good grief, are you seriously the same person? That's astonishing.

Unless money is no object, (there are people, no doubt, who can afford a whole new wardrobe ever six months . . .) I'd go to Goodwill/Salvation Army/consignment stores for "transitional" sizes, or at least for the occasional treat while you're waiting. Whatever your budget you should be able to have something that really…

This is excellent. Very impressive. I quite see that for someone who has an eating disorder in their past, counting calories could be emotionally unhealthy. Clearly you find it so, and you are very wise to stay away. For me and others MFP has been a useful source of information, no more. I have always been fortunate to…

First of all, many congratulations, and you look fantastic. Second - I was so impressed I went to your food diary to see how you do it. I was a little alarmed to see that how you do it is often eating about 1000 cal less than your allowance, which is already at a deficit. I worry that in the long run this won't be good for…

My problem is not so much the calories, but as soon as I drink all caution about food goes out the window, and i start cheerfully eating everything in sight, telling myself - Life is good! Food is good! Friends are good! Enjoy! And this is not when I'm hammered - I'm a responsible, grown-up, straight-edge type and never…

I have teenage girls who do ballet, so take how worried you are about 4 year old boy and multiply it by 100! I try to avoid "oh no, can't eat that" talk in front of them - casual things that give moral or emotional meaning to food. But I'm very straight with them about health and eating stuff in general. Food is good, food…

i changed my settings to start tracking sodium, and discovered I am usually way under the amount MFP "allows" me - I eat very little processed food. Is this OK, or is it possible to have too little sodium?

My doctor was telling me just the other day to take more calcium than was in my multivitamin. And yes, with Vitamin D, but she says that the store brands are just as good so save the money.

Really enjoyed looking at your food diary - that's the way to do it! Good luck to you!
-
Yay! Thanks. And fiber and water - check and check.

"Bro-science," Love it. Really, so this is normal? Does it correct itself when you switch to maintenance?
-
WHOA! Are you serious? Does the last 10lb syndrome include constipation? I was wondering what in the heck was going on!

I make a big pot of decaf tea, and drink cup after cup after cup. It's hot, so it goes slowly, and I sit in the middle of the sofa away from the end tables, so I have to hold it and my hands are busy. Works great. But I'd agree with some other posters - you should be eating more. If you want to get down to where your abs…

Thanks, all, That's helpful m

Oh, you made me feel better. Just went over by 500+ . . . Hey, it happens. I mean, sure, do something a bit extra tomorrow, but not to punish yourself, just because it's good to move. Think of it this way - when you get to goal, and get to maintenance, you'll be able to eat that much pretty much every day!
-
Thanks. I can't really do one set of one with the new ones - so I'll give it a few more weeks, and more reps at 8lbs, and then try again . .

One thing to watch with beet juice, is when all of a sudden you think you're dying - it comes out the other end pretty bright colored still.

Absolutely! Basically 5 days a week I have green juice (lettuce or celery, kale, apple, lemon - the lemon is really important to deal with the greeny taste - makes all the difference.) for breakfast and lunch. about 16oz each time - that's 310 calories each, and really really good calories. That's all till dinner. Never…
