Check out Fitness Blender on YouTube, they have lots of strength training workouts, there's also the book New Rules for Lifting for Women. BTW feeling sore after a workout is not necessarily a sign of a good workout.

You Tube has tons of options. Be Fit and Fitness Blender are good places to start. Do not, I repeat, do not do GymRa. They are awful. the narration is horrible and they are hard to follow. You could rest or do yoga which is what I do on my "rest" day.

In the beginning of the episode they do a 5 minute segment explaining the person will be eating 1,500 calories per day and get a quick cooking lesson from Rocco Dispirito. Yes, I think they should spend more time on nutrition.

Its a chip in the shape of the "pink ribbon" to show where I had a benign cyst removed. I didn't even know it was there until the tech who did my last mammogram showed me.

I never went to a gym. I started with a few workout dvds, worked my way up to a few dumbbells, now I have a weight bench and a barbell (thanks to a generous xmas gift card from my bosses) and my dumbbells go up to 40lbs. I'll admit I'm fortunate to have an extra room for all this stuff.

In my office, not only do people cut donuts in half (including me, usually because I'm cutting another donut in half to have a whole donut of 2 different favors, but I digress) I have seen donuts cut in quarters and sometimes eighths. I have yet to hear anyone complain. As long as there's donuts, people are happy. mmmmmm…

So do I, along with sumo and single-legged and in fact not only have I NOT had any back injuries from doing deadlifts, after dealing for years with a herniated disc, my back is stronger and haven't had anymore back problems.

I'm from STL and I loooooove deadlifts. I workout at home, which is probably why you've never seen me. BTW, hate IMOs and toasted ravioli.

I lost all my weight never having to go to a gym. I have dumbbells, barbell and a weight bench. Thanks to Beachbody dvds, Jillian Michaels and Youtube, I have a variety of workouts.

I started my fitness lifestyle just before turning 45, I was around 265lbs, now I hover between 155 - 160lbs at the ripe "old" age of 47. Now my focus is building more muscle.
