  • While having a conversation with my neighbor, I mentioned something about how my dog likes to hang out with me when I workout, not bragging, we were just talking about our dogs and she said, "why are you still working out, you don't need to lose anymore weight". Grrrr! Working out and eating healthy is a big part of my…

  • You can cut down/out carbs, it will be mostly water weight you lose though, but as someone who was concerned about the same thing before going on a beach vacation in Dominican Republic and seeing very large women (at least 300lbs) wearing 2 piece swimsuits unashamedly, I so got over my body image issues quickly.
  • I chose to do a cortisone shot instead of surgery. When the surgeon told me how long the recovery period was (longer than knee surgery) it was out of the question. Have you done physical therapy? PT along with the shot got me back to lifting overhead and heavy without pain.
  • There is this magical place called a Library. At this place there are books, lots and lots of books. You may have to do some actual research to find the right plan for you, but it is a good place to start.
  • After dealing with a torn rotator cuff for most of the year, I'm up to 70lbs x 5 sets/5 reps.

  • I wouldn't, but mainly because it sounds gross.
  • Nothing. I may not eat them as often, but I really haven't given up anything.
  • Look into kettlebell workouts, no machines, just a kettlebell
  • 1. you're not eating enough, use this calculator to figure how many calories you should be eating - http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ 2. Unlike what you see on all of the weight loss shows, weight loss is not linear, there are ups and down, you just need to be patient. ETA: this is from someone who's…
  • I did triathlons many many years ago, also had a Fuji road bike, also hated swimming in open water as I was not a strong swimmer. I found wearing a wetsuit helped keep me buoyant and a more efficient swimmer in open water . My boss, who does Ironmans also loves wearing wetsuits for the pretty much the same reasons and he's…
  • I understand this, but I would prefer that the first assumption to someone's weight loss not be a horrible decease. If that person wishes to elaborate on the real cause of their weight loss, that's their choice, but it's not your right to know.
  • This is my favorite dish - abcnews.go.com/GMA/Recipes/recipe?id=10473066 Except I replace the brown rice with quinoa and add broccoli
  • Right now I'm not really trying to lose "weight", but lose body fat while building muscle and I get "how much more weight do you want to lose?" all the time. I don't even bother trying to explain my goals anymore, because most people just don't get it.
  • Add lifting heavy things, and this is what worked for me.
  • I thought the first month was fairly easy, but yes, in the second month the workouts are longer and my knees are not faring too well, I've kind of had to modify some of the jumping. Fortunately I'm on my last days of the program. Overall its a really good program and will be doing a T25/Insanity hybrid when I return from…

  • So glad (not really) to hear others didn't lose a lot of weight, also. I've been stuck for months and was hoping Insanity would help break me out of a long...so very long plateau. My goal wasn't to lose "weight", but to help drop BF% and lean me out. I don't see it, but others have told me they can.
  • Please don't let this become an issue. When I am invited out, I just try to make healthy choices...if there aren't any, then ask for a to-go container and put half of the food in there before you begin eating which will help keep you from overeating. Though I agree your friend was a giant B for wanting to change the…
  • What she said
  • I guess my weirdest is that I now have more laundry due to all of my workout clothes. Also walking the dogs used to be my "workout", now its my cool down.
  • Oh HELL NO!!!! I can't believe I got sucked in. So embarrassed.
  • Or you can try this DIY wrap http://www.dailyhiit.com/hiit-blog/hiit-life/fashion-lifestyle/diy-body-wraps-recipe/
  • Whether he's cheating or not, the fact that he would rather spend time with this "friend" instead of his wife, does not bode well for the marriage.
  • I wouldn't worry so much about it, you had a great vacation (I hope), now you're back home, just get back to what you were doing before your vacation. I'm about to go on a 6 day vacation, not worried too much about weight gain. Already plan to hit the hotel fitness center at least half hour a day, try to make good food…
  • There are certain vegetables that I just will not eat (I'm like a 5 y/o), but the ones I do...I eat a lot of them. Others I pretty much tolerate if used in a recipe.
  • Check out Fitness Blender and Be Fit on YouTube, they have tons of videos that do not use any equipment or just dumbbells. As for including your daughter, there may be videos for that too, I did see one where a woman included her kids in her crossfit workout.
