My body never got used to them. I found out it's the chicory root which is the fiber additive. My body does not process it fast enough so it ferments/rots in my system during the digestive process... producing the gas of death. Now I have to check labels for that (Kashi go lean uses it too :((( )

shoppie... I found this: Cakewalk is a traditional African American form of music and dance which originated among slaves in the Southern United States. The form was originally known as the chalk line walk. The dance takes its name from competitions held on plantations prior to Emancipation, in which prizes, sometimes…

Argh I have been struggling with the eating lately too! Just not seeing the pounds come off and without that as motivation I am having some problems. Plus being sick and on meds really messed with me. I am doing Ripped in 30 now (just started week 2!) and also doing Leslie Sansone walking vids for extra cardio... have a…

I recently found dark chocolate and peanut butter nuts from Emerald... even better! It has the cocoa roasted almonds plus some sugared peanuts and pecans. So a little bit of healthy (nuts, good fats) and a little bit of treat all in one!

Y'all are doing SO fantastic! I hope you don't mind that I keep posting here, even tho I am finished with my 30 days... it helps to have people to share the journey with! Well yesterday I woke up sick (actually was sick all through the night before with a sore throat)... so I haven't done as well as I wanted. Yesterday I…

I love that strength circuit cause it really showed me how I was getting stronger!! I had to push the first couple times to do as many as I could, but when I could do them all I was soooo proud! :)

Tonight I am planning on doing NMTZ! Want to keep doing this one at least once a week as it has lots of good strength exercises in it. And I actually like it (once I get past the backwards lunges with side raises... ughhhh). I am supposed to be getting Walk Away the Pounds from Netflix today (30 min) so I may do that after.

oooh I've been wanting to do some more kickboxing.. maybe I will try that KenpoX!

Yeah I don't actually know how you are supposed to do the dvd's since I didn't get any instructions with them... just dvd's. I have toyed with the idea of using the cardio once since I've heard good things... but I am scared of the P90x stuff! I feel safe in my little Jillian world (even tho I know her workouts aren't a…

You are doing awesome!! I have the Polar FT4 and really like it! I don't intend to swim laps with a HRM or upload specific stats to my pc, so it is perfect for me. So is the Xstretch a workout or just stretching? I have those p90x dvds (someone gave them to me... wonder what they were trying to tell me? hehe)... but…

Not sure if this will help but I will tell you what works for me. I ask myself... what if this ONE workout would cause me to meet all my goals... could I do it then? The answer is almost always yes... and if I could do it then... then I can do it NOW!
-
If you can, I would try some yoga/pilates... something with lots of stretching. That always helped me when I was super sore.
-
haha yeah the Surrender is pretty bad but I realllllllly feel the Crescent thing after that. Ouch!!! For side plank - did you try on your knee? You leave the top leg stretched but bend the bottom leg back and just come up on that. That should make it easier. I split my legs for side planks (so one in front of the other…

' LOL that is quite a funny picture!! Yeah and for comparison... for the zumba I did today I burned 414 calories in 47 minutes... and in BFBM I burn like 520 in more like an hour... so still a good workout!!!
-
Yeah I like it well enough... it's definitely more fun than other cardio DVD's I have. I stink at it tho... even tho I know what I am supposed to do it is trouble to get my body to do it.

Yes it is this set from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Zumba-Fitness-Total-Transformation-System/dp/B002HZ4XMC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310652694&sr=8-1 There is a basics one that teaches you the moves (it is SOOO boring tho), then a 20 min express, 50 min party, and 2 more I haven't done yet. One has some toning sticks…

You are all doing so great!! Keep up the good work! Today I am going to be doing shred level 2 then 1 in the morning (in just a few minutes)... then after work I am going to do some zumba and yoga. Yesterday was a rest day so I am doubling up today and doing some calorie zig zagging (yesterday was also my free meal). Not…

It did... lost a couple of pounds... finally! :)

Tuesday mornings (so tomorrow, fingers crossed). I picked that day since I sometimes have work lunches out on Tuesdays, dinners out on Wednesdays (we have theatre season tickets and they are on Wednesdays), or something going on during the weekends. This way I can get any salt out of my season before weigh-ins...…

Yes I recently bought a heart rate monitor (for my birthday). I always shaved a few mins off when I logged before I did that (so BFBM would be like 40min)... but I can tell you I sometimes hit 500 cals on BFBM. I am pouring buckets on that workout!
