I will be running a race this Sunday (it should be about 36 degrees when I start). I plan on wearing capri work out pants and a t-shirt. I'm sure I will be freezing at the start of the race, but I don't know where I would put my stuff because I would feel an urgent need to strip during the race as I tend to get hot.

Thanks for all the great advice!! I will stick to what I am doing now! As long as I eat at least an hour before I run, I shouldn't have to use a porta-potty...lol. I definiitely will be avoiding prunes and will stick to low fiber. Thank you!

Hi! Feel free to add me! I have a serious weakness for chocolate and will eat LOTS of it at one time. MFP has made me more aware of this, so I've cut back big time. It also helped that trick or treating was cancelled in our area so I didn't buy candy and didn't have leftovers to eat. I like to offer lots of support. One…

Feel free to add me. I log in religously (for over 2 months) and provide feedback to all of my friends on an almost daily basis!

I like to put Grill Mates barbecue seasoning on the chicken breast tenders. You can broil chicken breast tenders 5 min on one side, 3 min on the other side. Then you can switch up to a different seasoning to make different types of chicken.

I've been doing this for over 60 days and have gone over on my sugar every. single. day. I'm allotted 26 g of sugar, which is hardly any. I think you would probably have to eat lettuce and protein all day to stay under that.

I started off at 1200 calories a day and that was just not working for me. I was starving!! Maybe you are trying to lose weight too fast and should cut back to a half pound or 1 pound/week weight loss. I'm at 1310 now, which is much better for me, but I usually end up eating much more than that due to running (but can…

I did that same program and am now up to running 12 miles. I have found that I need to eat before running. I usually will eat a bowl of cereal or a Clif Bar and a bottle of water about an hour before I run. Slowing your pace will probably help. If you're running to fast, you will feel like you are going to puke. I also…

17, but I look very young for my age.

I get up at 6 am and go to bed at 9 pm every night.

For me, taking those frst steps out of the door is the hardest part! I run and can't stand running on the dreadmill. If you have an alarm set, move it across the room so you have to get up to turn it off. Lay your exercise clothes out the night before or better yet sleep in your excercise clothes, so all you have to do is…

I'm failry consistent on work days for breakfast and lunch. For dinner and weekends, I switch it up.

Wow! You look great!!

I would decrease your calories. I'm 5'5" and am given 1310 calories to start and am very active.

Yum!! Looks great for a chilly day like today!!

None of the above. F...I call my dog over to eat it!

Feel free to add me! I am running my first half marathon on Sunday (as long as the trail's not washed away) and have run 5K's in the past. I am very positive and try to motivate:)

I am a runner and besides staying hydrated, the shoes are the most important! If you are serious about running, check out a running store and they can help get you a shoe that is geared towards your arch, etc. Some will even let you run with them outside to test them out. You should not be having foot pain. Like another…

Wow! You look amazing! Big difference...keep up the good work:)

I usually eat foods that I really love (high cal) on days that I work out. But...I treat myself to snacks (like a krackel miniature...not a whole bag!) all throughout the week.

You just made my day:heart:

I have the runkeeper app which offers some free plans. You can also set it for interval workouts, where you run fast for a period of time, steady, and slow. 3 miles in under 28 minutes is great! I am also running a 5 k on Thanksgiving:smile:

I run at about a pace of 11:30 min/mile and find that I am able to run long distances at this pace. I think if you are able to run 9 miles, you will probably be able to run a half...just go slow and try not to get caught up with all the adrenaline. I recently just purchased energy gels as I start to get tired around mile…

I eat a lot of beans, rice (especially jasmine), and quinoa. I have a weakness for potato bread, but we typically will buy whole wheat. I try to also stick to eating whole wheat pasta.

Great story!!! Keep up the good work:smile:

I record everything!! Some days I go over, some days I don't.
