  • In addition to the possibilities of MSG and all of the sodium, I find that I sometimes feel like I have a hangover if I drink too much diet caffeinated soda. It feels awful!
  • I was in my apartment, getting ready for college classes and listening to Wisconsin Public Radio when they reported that a plane had run into one of the Towers. I remember thinking that a small student plane must of gone off course or had some sort of problem and crashed into it. Who could have known then...?
  • I never drink. It's great. :)
  • I recommend going to a shoe specialty store with a certified orthopedist on hand. They can help you find the right shoe for you, because everyone's shoe needs are different. As for me, I LOVE my Asics and rarely stray away from them. But that's just me (and that's what the orthopedist fitted me with!). :) Good luck!
  • D&G Light Blue. I'm normally not terribly into designer things, but I caught a whiff of it from a sample in a magazine once and I've been hooked on it ever since. In fact, I think it's about time for my husband to replenish my supply, come my birthday, again!
  • Yes, yes, yes. The answer is always 'YES'!
  • I swear by my Asics. But, as I've seen several people recommend, it really does help to get professionally fitted. I was and ended up in a size nearly two sizes larger than I would have normally selected for myself, but every foot, ankle and shin problem I was having went away and never came back.
  • It's a bit of a chore, but it's the only thing that really works for me, so I do it anyway.
  • My favorite breakfast, lately: A cup of Greek yogurt topped with a cup of Kashi Crunch cereal with almonds and flax seed. Very yummy and it fill me up for quite a while!
  • I weigh myself after every trip to the bathroom, as the scale is right there and I figure after every trip I ought to be lighter. Realistically, I'm lightest after my first or second trip of the day, but I don't mind comparing as the day goes on. It's not what most people do, but it keeps me on track. :)
  • It's delicious and for the same calories as I get from peanut butter, I love to start the day with a toasted piece of wheat bread (or two!) and a thin but tasty layer of Nutella on it--accompanied by some coffee or tea with a splash of light soy milk. YUM!

  • It's counter-intuitive, but I've always heard that if your legs are getting tired, then you're not breathing in enough oxygen. And if you are struggling to breathe, it means your legs are not strong enough. So, it sounds like your lungs actually are where you need to improve. ;) Good luck!!

  • Sometimes, it's not just the type of show, but it's the shoe size that makes a difference. I used to have a ton of different issues when running, but then went to a store with certified orthopedists on staff. What they discovered is that I have a very long arch and needed to wear a larger shoe to accommodate that. Normally…
  • I can definitely tell!! Great work!! :)
