According to your BMR you should be eating 1305 cals a day...that is the bare necessity without exercise factored in :) I started at 1200 calories and was fine the first week and starving the next two weeks so I upped mine according to my BMR. I have noticed anything yet....just 2 weeks in but I hold my weight in the middle(my tummy) so I usually notice it in the face and neck, then arms and legs and of course where I need it to be gone, the middle...LAST!

If you have 1200 calories but say you did 300 worth of exercise.....you then need to eat 1500 calories or close to it that day. Make sure you are not to low under because you are basically starving yourself and you don't lose weight like that...your metabolism will actually slow down.

I don't chose water over soda...I add water to my diet. I did however stop drinking real soda and coffee a year ago...I know drink mainly Coke zero and water.
