I love the c25k. I started it again yesterday after about 2 years off running. The advice to go slower than you think you should is good, and something I have to remember. I always seem to go too fast and then get discouraged when it kicks my butt. I have to do mine on the TM this time of year, so there'll be an adjustment…

Shopping at thrift or consignment stores is a good idea for staple items that you need. I have had to buy quite a few new things, but I also was able to 'closet shop' to find some older, smaller clothes to wear.

I love your story because so many of us can relate to it. Busy life, but just keep going, even if you can't be perfect every day. Awesome transformation; you look fantastic.

Nice work! That's so motivating! I am also wearing a pair of old pants that I pulled from the "skinny clothes" bin in our storage closet. Mine are a teensy bit too tight, but I have a long shirt covering my bum so they're not indecent. :)

This is a great topic. Thanks for the info! I have never been diagnosed either, but I do have terrible winter blues. I get so down when it's dark in the mornings and evenings on my commute. We had an abnormally frigid winter last year (even for Iowa, where it gets COLD!) and they're predicting the same for this year, along…

Great job! I love how people will always give others 'advice' on family planning. My husband and I have four kids spaced out over 18 years, and folks like to comment on that approach as well! :)

I've found that the only way to truly avoid cravings while I eat healthily is to allow the foods I crave in my diet, in moderation of course. I know everyone's different, but it's why the super restrictive plans don't work for me. If I'm told I can't eat something, it's what I want the most. So I say have a bit of what you…

Here's my profile! https://www.fitbit.com/user/22M2JC I'd love to get some friends who have 10K or more steps. My friends seem to be slackers! :)

That chart is a work of art. Awesome job! You look fantastic, and are a great motivator!

You are adorable. I agree - I don't think your weight loss has been all that slow at all. Great job!

Thanks for posting this (and for making it a sticky so everyone can find it!). I'm new to the MFP boards and needed to hear this today. I've never been one to follow fad diets, but I do tend to get discouraged because I'm a slow loser. I need to remember that slow does not equal failure. It's better than a negative loss.…
