My too-young-to-know better neice was all about that stuff a while ago and I got on her FB page to tell her it's a scam. I'd sell her some saran wrap and lotion for $90 and we could call it a day. The wrap seller got on the thread to say it works and blah blah blah. I responded, "Yeah, said the person selling it." They…

This is a decent resource on how to incorporate exercise into an obese person's routine: http://www.uchospitals.edu/pdf/uch_015743.pdf but there aren't really "special" exercises for obese folks, just modified versions of regular exercises. When I was pregnant I went to a special exercise class that was super low impact -…

I've found that hopping on one foot as soon as I get out of bed, followed by eating right and exercising, has helped me tremendously. I's my weight loss secret.

It took me a minute to figure out what TOM meant, lol. I've got Mirena and haven't had a real period since about 3 months after installation. However, about every other month I get *****y, have cramps for a day or two and want to eat a whole pizza. I just take tylenol and go with it. Cravings get indulged within reason but…

^^^This. Oprah did a big disservice to her audience by reinforcing this belief as well. I clearly remember her showing bottles of water and associating it with health. She holds sway over a lot of the populace and it disseminated out to the rest of the country that it was about bottles of water and not ounces of fluid.…

This is good. I went to a dietician to see about setting the right calorie goals for myself as I was really stressed. Do I go by MFP? What formula should I use? Should I get a heart rate monitor? What about my TDEE? She told me to stay around 1800 calories and just do that for the rest of my life. No secret formula. Just…

It'll be a blast. I did my first in October after procrastinating for a year. I did it with a stroller in 45 minutes and since it was a small group I was left in the dust by the regular runners pretty close the the start. I wasn't last, though and I even passed a teenage girl I probably outweighed by 100 pounds at one…

I hadn't been fitted in a long time so I was under the impression that I would just up the band size when I gained weight. Then I was breast feeding I wore a lot of shapless bras. When I stopped a year ago I was at my heaviest non-pregnant weight and wore a 48C. I FINALLY got around to buying new bras this weekend since…

Headphones. I do my own thing and try not to worry about them. And I (33 y/o fat mom) go to a primarily student gym and share the weight area with very bro-y fraterinity guys and athletes. F-'em

I thought it was a placebo. The act of sprinkling something on your food makes you aware of the portion. I'd say it's a scam.

I try to eat a little before working out, a banana or packet of oatmeal. Afterwards I go to work and have a couple hundred more calories, usually something with protein. On days I work out in the morning I have more focus during the day and sleep better the following night.

The best texture would have to be Greek Gods. Holy moly it's amazing. I noticed it's starting to get stocked in Walmart. It used to be only available in certain small groceries. but it's like eating ice cream only not as low cal as some yogurts. I personally love Fage but I add stuff (jam, honey, granola, etc.) and mix it…

I took a friend to a new pilates class a couple years ago. She had never done it and I had only done the videos in the privacy of my own home. We got there early and hid in the back of the class so we wouldn't be in the way. A little while later the instructor comes in and what we thought was the back was actually the…

Its not as dramatic a difference as my profile pic, but I think this is pretty good. The pants are a size smaller and I'm holding them up with a belt. Same backpack.

Logged the eggs benedict for breakfast then quit once I started in on the spinach dip and Lindor truffles. That was around 9AM. You can't beat holiday gluttony.

Jello makes 10 calorie sugar free gelatin cups (also available in much cheaper SnackPak and Raymundos brands). With some light cool whip it's low carb since there's no real sugar. Delish! Good uluck with your tooth!

6 more months! I' had a baby at the start of the 4th year and I have lost the baby weight but I still have 15 pounds to go before I'm back to pre-grad school weight. School did some damage, man! Then another 20 to be at the weight I met my (trained chef) husband. The odds have been stacked against me, haven't they? :)

I regret nothing. Mine got pretty big but we wore comfy clothes, no serious vows (I promised not to go, "Agh!" when he's driving), and we had a Soul Train dance line during the half time show mid-ceremony. It's better to have a good story and memory than a big mess.

I'd suggest watching other runners to mimic their form. I tried C25K 2 years ago and quit because of shin splints and having to repeat weeks because of pain/laziness. BUT, when I started again a couple months ago I made sure to run the way the skinny people did: land on the ball of your foot, not the heel, keep your head…

A goal weight of 170, which is what the charts all say is a normal weight for a 5'10" gal such as myself seems so small. I was 190 when I graduated high school (15? years ago). I just can't see myself being that weight. So I'm setting a goal of 200 to see if I can make it. Then, if I think I can keep going, I will. SW: 340…

I had the same thing when I started a simple strength training routine. Dumbbell curls and the like exacerbated my "iPad elbow" - yes, that's a real thing. If you use a tablet or smartphone on a regular basis it weakens the tendons. I started using a stand for my tablet and don't spend as much time scrolling on my phone…
