Yes. An average 100 gram banana is 100 calories. A big 150 gram apple or 100 grams of grapes is 75 calories. 100 grams of peas is 60 calories. 100 grams of corn is 90. Together those fruit and vegetables (and that's a bit heavy on fruit and not alot of vegetables) are 400 calories. That is ALOT when my maintanance is…

Omg SERIOUSLY? I don't want to believe that someone could possible be this stupid. If someone ever did this to my theoretical future kids I wouldn't even let them within eyesight of the kid again. They might slip him/her some "treat" when my back is turned and kill him/her. Hopefully your kid is ok now and nothing like…

Changing his name to Lolstig is really redundant... Lustig means funny in Swedish.

I think if you're sensitive to grains you can get a bloated stomach and beer is made from grains. But I dunno if that has anything to do with it or if it's true or not.

I buy normal milk too... But only in winter, cause I can never use up everything before the expiration date but it always lasts way past the expiration date during winter. And almond milk just isn't as good for hot chocolate in my opinion.

OMG that cookie looks delicious... Why don't we have these in Sweden??? D:< We have scouts... And ok, they're not girlscouts specifically since they let boys in too, but they're still scouts dammit!

The brand I buy (and the only one I've found so far here in Sweden), Alpro, tastes just like fullfat milk at the beginning of the mouthfull when it's really chilled, then you get the almond taste.

Sometimes people set 150 calories for a slice of cake cause they always cut tiiiny slices... And maybe it's a homemade low calorie cake. That's why I always weigh my food and use the recipe maker here whenever I bake or cook something big.

Have you tried to cook lots of different vegetables in lots of different ways? Maybe you only like boiled carrots(or whatever) vs raw, baked or grilled, maybe you like them with a certain seasoning, or cooked and then cooled. And so on and so forth. I like to make boiled carrots with some butter and parsley, it's delicious…

I know that a Big Mac in Sweden is 510 calories now, it used to be 495. As far as I can tell from the MFP entries it's 550 in the US. So yeah, nutrition facts change.

Me and mom tend to have the same basic dinner most evenings, a meat, a vegetable and some kind of sauce or side. Like, chicken, broccoli and bearnaisse, or steak, peas and creamsauce. Sometimes we make like a stew or something, but then we make a biig pot and eat the leftovers for lunch and dinner over the next days. I…

The food scale... And the stove. What? A stove is a gadget, a really big one, but whatever.

Dried cranberries, apples and bananas are the best dried fruits in my opinion. And I like almonds, cashews, walnuts and peanuts. And lots of other nuts I can't remember the names of.

I have never broken a bone in my life, well, unless you count the 1 cm off the tip of my thumb that got caught in a giant iron bunker door when I was 5 and had to be removed... But I dunno if I actually broke it or the flesh was just too damaged and they had to amputate or something. Anyway, as far as I know, I've never…

You need carbs when you work out right? I made flapjacks that were about 220 kcal per 45 gram portion.... They're yummy, I used real butter as well as some almonds and cranberries, so you could make them lower in fats and calories by using margarine and removing the almonds and/or cranberries. It was really easy to make…

I use google... But then I don't really make "diet" foods and stuff... I make regular food in smaller portions with lots of veggies on the side. And unless I'm baking something delicate like souffle or whatever, I don't really tend to follow the recipes exactly anyway.

I just made this recipe after reading this topic... It was way too delicious. >_>;; http://video.about.com/britishfood/How-to-Make-Flapjacks.htm I only made half the recipe though cause I didn't have enough oats, and I didn't have glucose syrup either so I just used 1 tablespoon of light syrup and 2 tablespoons of honey. I…

Now that I think about it... I don't think I've seen any wombats since I joined MFP either........ Even just being a member keeps them away! Of course, I don't think I've ever heard about wombats living in Sweden outside the zoo, and I never go to the zoo... But I'm sure that doesn't change the obvious fact that MFP…

Are you sure the nutrition and amounts of food you're entering is correct? You might be underestimating how much you eat. Weighing tends to be the most accurate measurement. But there is also a lot of food with completely wrong nutrition info, and I always check the label so I don't trick myself.

I love them... Admittedly I live in Sweden so I can buy the tastiest kind which is apparently not available outside Scandinavia. It's called WASA Frukost and it's delicious. I'll admit that some of the others can taste like cardboard though.

This is so true for my mom. She does low carb and dosen't like sweeteners so she's completely given up all candy and soda and stuff. After like two weeks of quitting sugar cold turkey she got her period and a massive chocolate craving. So she decided to give up temporarily. Then she actually tried eating the chocolate and…

I have a really easy one that's also awesome as a side sauce thing for grilled chicken. Sour Cream or Creme Fraische (You could probably use yogurt too, but I've never tried) Pantai Sweet Chili Sauce Use more or less chili sauce depending on how strong you want it. Taste testing is important.

I logg while I'm making the food....

The default carb intake on MFP is considered high by a lot of people here. Lots of people reccomend changing the goals so the carb/fat/protein balance is 40/30/30 in stead of whatever it is originally. For me that becomes 125 grams of carbs a day at 1250 calories.

You can always try making things in the oven to try them out first if your oven can stay at a low setting. It's a lot of money wasted if you find out you don't like dried fruit or vegetables or whatever after buying the dehydrator, but it's a lot of money saved on electricity if you love dried whatever and make it in a…

I have one. But the only things edible I've made with it are dried apples and pineapple. The apples turned out awesome and I still have some left in a jar that still hasn't gone bad since august last year. The pineapples were not as good, but then again they came from a can. I also experimented a little and put in ham…

You could bring fruit? No cooking required and most fruit keeps pretty well as long as you don't cut it up and stuff. Carrots can be eaten raw, or boiled, or grilled or whatever, and they keep well. All you need is a peeler, or a knife I guess. Sorry I'm not helping all that much, I've never been camping for real, like in…

With one exception. If your girlfriend/lover/wife just said "Honey, we're having a baby!" You are allowed to ask "You're pregnant!?" before fainting. However any further questions along that line once you wake up again are unacceptable. Unless your significant other is feeling kind and said questions also contain lots of…

If you replace pasta, rice or potatoes with vegetables you can eat a lot more for the same or lower amount of calories. I like using broccoli or cauliflower. And you can do this for most dishes. Grilled chicken and mashed cauliflower, steak with broccoli, pastasauce over zucchini...
