  • Im not a single mom but I do childcare in my home and have up to 6 children ranging from 6.5 months to 7 yrs, I know, Im crazy! My oldest will go to school soon so that will leave me with 5 kiddos and my husband has the time right now where he can take my 4 yr old sometimes to help out (hes my hardest!:). I plan my video…
  • I usually save room for the alcohol calories... but sometimes go over. Im still not sure if this hinders my weight loss, it definitely does not fit into my clean eating. But sometimes, I do really need a drink and I go ahead and indulge (oh why lie its more like five nights a week! haha!) Its my vice and I have a hard time…
  • NI!!!! Omygoodness cracking up!
  • I feel this way when I have just oatmeal with fruit for breakfast, I had to figure out to add some fat and protein in there. It helped dramatically.
  • I do childcare in my home and at times have up to 5 or 6 ages 1.5 to 7 yrs old, two are my kiddos. I pop in a video (p90x or baron baptiste yoga or turbo jam) several days a week during nap and I sweat it up!!!! I also get up early to run before the first kiddo comes or before my kids get up while my husband is here or I…
  • I watch my sodium intake as well as my sugar. I do my best to stay out of the red for sure but the less processed foods you eat the easier that is. It makes a huge difference. I notice a difference in my weight(on the scale) and the bloating feeling you get when I am careful with sugar and salt (and alcohol too).

  • Went to check out your diary... its private so cant really give advice. But my first thought is its "diet" related. Sometimes we THINK were eating right but there are things like sodium and sugar to watch, upping calories if needed, eating empty calories, or changing the settings of carbs, protein, and fat... just a few…
  • I have tried listening to music while running, the only time I cared for that was when I was running my second half marathon, it was invaluable to me that day... but when Im out on a typical run I find the music distracts me and messes with my rhythm and takes away from "my time" of getting outdoors, on a trail, by myself,…
  • You look amazing! I can tell by your smile though that you FEEL amazing and THATS whats gonna keep you losing, active, eating right, healthy:) Have fun!!! Enjoy:)
  • Age: 32 Sex: f Height: 5'1 Weight: 126 Body fat: dont know... Daily calories: 1200-1600 depending on my exercise amount for the day.
  • I log it as kickboxing including turbo jam, I used to wear my hrm and it was similar in cal burned, very close:)
  • GREAT job! Huge difference in before/during pics:) Good for you:)
  • I see red a lot with sugar, I dont mind as long as most of it is from fruit. YOu want to keep the sugar you eat mostly from fruit and not from added sugars like cereal, or adding sugar to your coffee or oatmeal, etc. I think its better for you to eat fruit than it is to worry that fruit put your sugar over, =my two cents.…
  • I would incorporate yoga or pilates into your routine. It will work WONDERS for your core and decreasing any back pain.
  • The best video I have found, and I love yoga!!, is by Baron Baptiste, yoga GURU!. The video is called Baptiste power vinyasa yoga LIVE! Series. It comes with 3 different yoga practices, soul of strength (60 min), core power (30 min), and unlocking athletic power (30 min and my fave!). You could probably find it on line and…

  • I am very close to my goal weight, about 10 pds to go. I too have had children and I too have a belly. Its not THAT bad... but its a little loose skin, stretch marked up, little bit of fat that wants to stay put... I wear a bikini and feel great in it, for the first time ever, even before my babies I was self conscious.…
  • I wear brooks, mine are specifically for running and trail running at that, but I LOVE them because they come in wide, my feet are wide and I wear orthotics so its a must. Theyre spendy... but I wear them almost everyday for some form of exercise so the amount is worth it. You can find them on line too, try ebay or amizon,…
  • PS I was just in Newport OR last weekend when they had the marathon!
  • Ive been training for my second half marathon and its TOMORROW! Its the Dirty Half in Bend OR. I did the second dirty half last October, there will be another one this October haven't yet decided if Im doing that one too, probably though. The trail race courses here are very hilly and I ran on it once or part of it so I…
  • Great info!!! So another part of this question ( I too cannot get away form the hills, there are very few trails around here without them, havent seen any actually) is my hr sky rockets on hills, I can get up them but by the time Im up (some of the trails I do the hills are endless and long and unforgiving) my hr is way…
  • Thats a great question! Ill be watching to see the answers, I feel similarly:)
  • I will be doing 100 between level 2 and 3 throughout the day:)
  • I too cannot stand the treadmill and very rarely run on one. When youre running outdoors, especially on trails, the scenery is constantly changing, twisting going up and down, rocks to leap over, corners you cant see around, roots to make sure you dont trip over not to mention all the things in nature to distract, the…
  • I got my timex at Fred Meyer for 80$ and it was rated #1 by consumer reports for accuracy and a whole slew of other things:) I love it, works great, had it for 2 yrs.
  • Youre very right:) thank you for sharing that. When we experience a near death encounter it changes the way we think and for me, it made me want to take better care of my body and do things I may not have had the chance to, enjoy sports and pushing my body to new limits:) I enjoy food but also make way better choices than…
  • Almost daily I drink odwalla protein monster mixed with 1/2 or 1 cup frozen blueberries and or strawberries and 1 or 2 T depending on my workout for the day and how many cal I have of peanut butter. When I have other fruit I use it, blackberries, raspberries, etc. I cant eat bananas but you should def put at least a half…
  • Count me in!
  • Great job! I do p90x also, it is hard but well worth it! good work:)
  • To avoid potentially making my friends uncomfortable, I either mentally log what I have and then add it via phone once I get back into my car OR better yet, I plan out ahead of time what I want to eat when going out, put it in the diary before I leave, and then I'm held accountable for eating just that much :) I do this…
  • Yes my husband and friends. I just ask them to be supportive of me. I say "dont you want to be supportive and help me be successful???" I usually get the response of yes and the subject is dropped:)
