I used to hear that a lot too, and still even with my husband occasionally even though hes the one who told me about that exact article several months back, it was in discovery or national geo or something but I think its pretty much the same thing:) Thanks for posting that! Even if it was hard on me I would still do it,…

And so what do YOU recommend to lower your body fat when its 10 pds away?
-
Id love to see some pics as well. Im 10 pds away from my goal weight and Im wondering the same thing in regards to my belly fat/skin that is still not how I want it... as you know we dont get to pick where the fat comes off and some of us who've had children well the skin is stretched and the muscles are hiding...
-
So I did look at your pics... and Im sorry but you dont have any loose skin left that I could see... you look amazing and no doubt had to work hard for that stomach esp if youve had children and esp if you had a c section... but i have to strongly disagree with the loose skin on you:) For those of us that truly have that…

I would totally start yoga:) And I would recommend Baron Baptiste power vinyasa live series. I have the same problem, very close to my goal weight with areas that are holding the fat like my belly, it seems like mostly loose skin... but it IS getting smaller, very very slowly and Im starting to get very strong muscles on…

Im just very honest with my husband and simply ask him to not offer me any snacks, I have a very strict diet while Im losing weight and only eat whats on my menu. After dinner I brush my teeth and once the kids are tucked in I lay myself down too with a good book and I hear him in the kitchen making a snack, he used to…

Experts say 1 -2 pd a wk max for successful long term weight loss. It doesnt mean you cant and wont lose fast and keep it off but studies prove/show the 1-2 pd weight loss a week to be most successful:) Heres a great website for tools of exercise/diet I found helpful that a friend of mine gave me:) Good job with your…

You should keep your fat within the range, not going over, but you do need some fat. If you start to plataea you might consider making sure the fat you eat is lean or healthy fats, does that make sense? Good job with your weight loss:)

You were probably on the verge and the class tipped you onto the sicker side:( sorry:( get better soon!

I too heard its ok unless its in your chest but also unless youre also running a fever, then its time to rest. I am in such a habit of working out everyday no matter what that its hard for me too to take a break when ill but usually if I am seriously dragging and I listen to my body (sometimes Ive started a workout when…

Ya... Im not sure weighing in everyday is a good idea, but I do it too. And like you I worked my butt off and last week when I did that I was down, lost weight finally, but yesterday I did that and this am Im back up to where I was working so hard to come down from 2 wks ago! Im usually sore, except maybe one day a week…

Im not an expert, however, I have done a lot of research and got a lot of feedback from others on this and what I have found is its actually really good to do a little of both:) long easy runs and shorter faster runs. Its great for your heart and cardiovascular to get your heart rate up to its max. Theres a lot of fat…

I agree with the others:) Sounds delicious and I too do a smoothie most days, greek yogurt, blueberries, odwalla protein monster, adding pb sounds really good, my sons allergic to nuts so I cant mix that in our blender, cross contamination... but with the other ingredients thats a ton of protein and healthy fats AND carbs,…

When youre younger (oh man I cant believe I said that) youre metabolism is faster and on your side. Most young people can eat whatever they want without exercise and there be no consequences, that they can see. But what its doing to the inside of your body is building plaque and clogging their arteries, slowing their…

Aw yes, that does feel good! Good work!
-
I bet you FeEl great! Thats what will keep you working hard. Look for intrinsic motivation to keep you going:)
-
Thats the same hrm I have and I would go with the hrm as mfp doesnt have weather your a male/femal your weight, age, etc. and everyones body works at a dif pace, your hr etc. so thats why I would go with your hrm. To be sure Im not giving more cal than I should I subtract what I would have burned anyways sitting on the…

There are SO many benefits to exercise, too many to list! Eating small balanced portions spread throughout the day mostly fruit, veggie, lean protein and whole grains and healthy fats will allow your body to get what it needs and not starve as long as your within your goal to lose. Here are a few benefits to exercise…

I guess part of what I was trying to say too was that Im often too sore to do my yoga that I love from weights. I found an idea though, maybe doing yoga on the SAME day as weight training, like the weights after the yoga 2xs a week:) thank you all for your feedback:)
-
And might I add... you look great! I read on your page you do very little cardio, you do more weights and strength training then? Cool, its working for ya!
-
Lifting free weights, correct me if Im wrong, build short muscles while yoga builds long lean muscles, right? I would be absolutely happy with either Gwenneth Paltrow or Jessica Beils body:) truthfully:) although I know which body my husband would pick;) my body is nowhere near either of theres. Im FAR from that! I totally…

I think that if you feel like it, do 6 or even 7 days a week. There will be other days and weeks that you need the break and you will feel it, watch your body for cues, very tired, not into the workout and puting it off, no energy, grumpy, etc. I workout 6 days a week usually doing something dif everyday, ie snowboarding,…
-
I too struggle with making myself take breaks. I workout 6 days a week typically doing p90x plyo, cardio x, kenpo, or core synergistic videos, yoga vidoes, snowboarding, running, and periodically I throw in a class at a club that is a circuit class super hard very good workout. On my off day I do a really long stretch…

Seems like youre right on track, you look GREAT! good job:)
-
you just have to abstain:) keep yourself busy, count out your cal and make up your menu plan in the am and stick to it:)
-
I just recommended this one too, its SO good:) I love it! The way yoga is meant to be practiced.
-
Yes:) Baptiste power vinyasa yoga live! series. Baron Babptiste is the guru of yoga and he knows his stuff. Ive done the p90x yoga and others and I just think Baron Baptiste knows his stuff, I appreciate his style and the workout I get, its yoga the way its supposed to be not painful and strenuous like I think p90 yoga…
