Thanks so much for making me feel welcome and loved. The reason I left was because I had trouble seeing to read. Since then I have gotten audio books so don’t read books. So much has happened but I still feel the close connection in this group. It is rare for a group last this long and be so close. Kelli, thanks for your…

It took me all day but I finally found you all! I can’t even Remember the last time I posted here but I have thought of so many of you. It was a pleasant surprise to see so many of you that I remember. I saw new grandchildren who were several years old. Also Rory I read that you had lost your dear Bruce. Please know my…

My daughter came for a visit for a week and I got behind again. She helped me clean out beds in the front of the house and put down 28 bags of mulch. Still tired from all that work. Will try to stay up again. SueBDew in TX

Finished cleaning one flower bed. Things are coming out and I love this time of year. Covid vaccines- my internist insisted I take the shots even though I told him the first one made me sick. He said there are different strains so I took them. I should be well protected. Not that we go anywhere lol Have a great day SueBDew…

Good morning. Feeling better. Heather- I think it is good to not take the second shot if you had the virus plus a severe reaction to the first one. My retina specialist is Chinese and he told me not to take any shots. Oh well, wish I had waited. KJ - safe travels. Weather may be tricky for you. Glad you enjoyed your time…

Still reading and trying to keep up. We had the Moderna vaccine. I will not take it again. It seems it has a very severe reaction on me. The tech who gave me the second shot said I shouldn’t have a severe reaction if I had one the first time. Wrong. It also appears that since I had the virus, my body already had…

Well, it happened again. Got second shot on Tuesday and by midnight had chills and fever. Worse body aches ever and nauseated. So sick I couldn’t get out of bed. Thank goodness DH wasn’t as sick. Feel better today but very weak. Guess I have triple antibodies now. Only drank a Gatorade and one piece of toast yesterday so…

Today we get our second shot. Almost everyone at Book Club had already had two. I am the only one that actually had the virus. Beth- thanks for sharing about your son’s service and the outpouring of love your family has received. Tomorrow the mask mandate will be lifted and businesses can return to 100% capacity. I am sure…

My post just disappeared!,,,I was wondering if we are breathing out fat, does it get stuck in the mask and we breathe it back into our body. Beth- so sorry for your loss. Sending prayers for comport. Kelly- so happy you are coming to TX to see your family. The weather should be wonderful for you. Better get some chores…

Good morning friends. Sorry it has been so long since I checked in with you all. We had a terrible time with the winter storm as our house is all electric. We do have a fireplace but it only kept the room at 44 degrees, it was 36 in our bedroom. We stayed two days then our son came from Dallas to get us. Power was out 111…

Had first shot yesterday and had chills, fever and low oxygen levels. Tech said it might be harder for us because we had the virus and our age. It really made me mad hat I got so sick. SueBDew in TX

Hello MFP buddies. Hope you are all doing ok. We had our first shot this afternoon. It was Hard to decide to take it or not but in the end we decided it might protect us from a different strain from the one we had. Some doctors say immunity lasts for four months some say eight months. They really don’t know unless you have…

This was another day where I didn’t get a lot done. Dividd and replanted some irises and put down mulch. It was so windy I was getting a headache. Watched more Christmas movies because there is nothing good on TV. Welcome Rhonda, We are probably pretty close as I live 45 miles SW of Ft Worth. You will enjoy this special…

I actually played 18 holes of golf today. It was warm, 80 degrees so I got really tired. Came home and slept two hours. We haven’t seen any shortages yet but it wouldn’t surprise me. We are so grateful that we live where we do. We can get outside and work in the yard, walk the puppy, play golf and attend church. Some days…

You are a blessing to me today when I read your posts that I had been missed or that you worried about me. Thank you so much. While I was sick I listened to all the selections for the year for my book club. But now it is hard to remember them. Still working on My Dear Hamilton. Have a wonderful day. BTW, we do have pecans…

Thanks to KJ for reaching out to me this morning. It has been a couple of months since I posted I realized I can’t keep up but I’ll try to check in often. Missed hearing about your lives and hope to be able to get on every day. My eye sight is getting worse so reading is hard. But I realized I was playing solitaire a lot…

Heather- I have a good fancy hotel story. While on a cruise of New Zealand and Australia, we arrived at our hotel in Sydney. Can’t remember the name but it overlooked the harbor and Opera House. We got our key and went to our room but someone was already in the room. The hotel manager called them to tell them they were in…

Been thinking of all of you in the path of the storm. Hope everyone gets power soon. Having a hard time keeping up but try to skim. Where did Pip move to? Guess I missed the location. Thanks Barbie for a new month. I need to get back to weight loss. Since I lost sense of taste, it is difficult to diet. We just eat whatever we have. Pip- love the picture of Kirby on his last day Good luck with your retirement SueBDew in TX .

Thanks for the good wishes. My biggest issue now is fatigue. I do very little and get so tired. Wanted to go to pool and walk in the water but maybe not this week. Love that you are all still here. Stay safe, wear your mask. SueBDew

I have been gone a loooong time. My hubby and I have been very careful and mostly staying at home except for groceries and occasional trips to hardware store. On the 2nd of July we went to son’s ranch to celebrate my birthday. My DIL and the four kids and her mother had driven to Wisconsin for a wedding two weeks before.…
