Congratulations on your progress! I promised myself that I will post pics in January to add additional accountability in this journey of losing the next 50 or so pounds... Thanks for helping me to reinforce that promise to myself!

La tortilla Factory makes a great large wheat tortilla with only 80 calories and it makes great wraps...

I am sorry to hear that you lost your fiancé. You look incredible! I am 5'10" and started this journey from 247 lbs. so you have been the most inspirational person I have encountered on MFP! Way to go and I wish you much happiness in the future in your new skin!!!

Congratulations on your success! I also never thought that I looked that large unit looking at comparison photos and old clothes. My goal is also 160 and I am almost half there... Keep up the great work!

Yes they hurt, but depending on the location the pain is pretty bearable...

Amazing results! You should schedule your beach vacation for next summer as your post-success reward!

Tell your friend to try water exercises and to begin tracking everything that she eats. She should probably meet with a dietician/nutritionist to come up with a healthy eating plan. Continue to encourage her and when she starts seeing results and feeling better she will be well on her way to her desired results. She is…

I generally have my largest meal at the end of the day and I do not eat anything else for 16 hours... So far this eating plan has been working well for me.

I have the current Fitbit and I love it! I am competitive so my husband and I are always trying to do more than one other by way of calories, floors climbed, and steps in general. It certainly helps to give that extra boost to get up and move more. You get cool badges (via email) for exceeding various goals ( e.g., 20…

Sounds delicious.

Some people require breakfast immediately after waking up (e.g., people with medical issues) and others prefer to eat later (e.g., brunch). I have been practicing intermittent fasting which gives you a set…

So, I am clearly behind the times... What is Insanity (I have seen it referenced throughout MFP)?

I think that enjoyment really depends on the class instructor. Fortunately I really enjoyed my first instructor so I continued to go to the class. I learned that the teacher matters because I hated the 2nd & 3rd classes instructed by other people. I encourage you to give Zumba another try with different instructors & see…

Mine are shrinking too! I was elated initially and now I want them to stop, but they seem to be getting even smaller. I have been lifting more weights this go around, so I guess that this is the reason. I am so happy to see the rest of me shrinking so I guess that the "girls" and I will be parting ways!!!

I was very successful with WW about 5 years ago. As soon as I stopped I found that the pounds quickly crept back up on me. Last year I tried to do WW again but I didn't care for the PointsPlus plan, so I stopped again and gained even more weight. This summer I decided that enough was enough and I started keeping a food…

The elliptical is much easier on the joints. I recommend going as long as you can as hard as you can plus five more minutes (you can always do more than you think you can). As that time gets easier add an additional 5 minutes until you can do it for at least thirty minutes. As it continues to get easier then add more…
