  • you look amazing! such an inspiration!!
  • Id like to say it in 30% or more... because I really like the saying "eat breakfast like a king and dinner like a pauper" but usually I am short on time (working on it!) so its typically less. But its always something!!
  • Its not just what works for one individual. If you dont eat breakfast, you will be more hungry and you will eat more later. Unless you never get hungry... then thats wonderful for you! But for the vast majority of people, breakfast helps, and I am just providing information for those people who are interested. If not,…

  • is that the same shirt??? look at the extra room in the arms! way to go!! :)
  • bump :)
  • fruit!! bananas are and they fill you up... :)
  • theres no way. seriously... 3500 calories equal a pound (or something like that...) you do the math- did you eat 35,000 calories in two days? and do nothing? no. get a new scale, girl! or maybe move it... if you weight on carpet it can mess it up too...
  • thanks! i think i may need to hit the liquor store!
  • Lose 7 pounds by July 24!! (my birthday) I know its kind of a lot... but who knows? a girl can dream! lol-- plus its nice to have a goal like that to really strive for.
  • ah the most controversial topic on MFP- to eat or not to eat exercise calories? many people feel very strongly about eating them back- and there is a lot of support to back that up... but i believe that you are losing weight for you- you should do it the way you feel comfortable. if you don't want to eat back your exercise…
  • well im from chicago... and we LOVE our hot dogs!! I "get away" with eating turkey dogs on healthy life buns with extra relish (lo cal!!!) and mustard ONLY! (VERY low cal!) ... sport peppers are also low calorie and so are onions... put it all together and you got yourself a chicago style turkey dog!! still haven't found a…
  • sometimes they have fruit? or baked chips... or cereal bars/ special k bars! those are good!
  • Look up the nutrition information on a buger from another restaurant thats similar... then add those calories! it might not be perfect, but atleast your not guessing!
  • I actually went out to dinner the night before and had pad thai with shrimp and chicken- probably not the healthiest choice but I didnt finish it and I def got enough protein. The morning of I had a special k protein bar and half a banana. I didnt want to overwhelm myself by running on a super full stomach. it was AFTER…
  • I much prefer MFP. I did weight watchers with my mom a while back and the constant counting of "points" got to be rediculous. I have had much more success on this site by simply counting calories (and not having to compute points!) and the people here are WAY more supportive. This is the kind of lifestyle change that will…
  • I am 5'2 as well with a goal weight of 130... for now. lol. that is in the range of healthy BMI and it is still 37 pounds away, so when I get there I can re evaluate and decide if I am happy at that weight or if I feel the need to keep loosing. I think it really depends on the person.
  • I used to be a swimmer and we always used speedo or keefer. but we also used the bungee-like straps to put on them so that they could be tightened and loosened more specifically. You could find them in a sports store or online at keefer.com. good luck! :)
  • I just tried it for the first time this morning... both my parents have been taking a tbls every morning (not that they have much belly fat to lose! grr) and they said the taste isnt that bad and not much like walnuts. I put some in my scrambled eggs (only half a serving... 130 cals is alot on something that wont fill me…
  • 130... But who knows-- I might change my mind when I acheive it! :)
  • I freeze my ripe bananas!! I keep them in the peel and stick them in a freezer bag so they don't get freezer burn... then I thaw them, mash them and add them to the recipe! :)
  • I was put on Zoloft in high school, then gained weight. I am not sure that the anti-depressant was purely to blame, but I have heard that it can cause weight gain. Then I switched to Lamictal and gained more weight- again, not sure if it has to do with the meds or not. The good news is, even if there is weight gain…
  • Student- getting my bachelors in health science then doctorate of physical therapy!! Right now, I am also working full-time as a receptionist (is that PC??) at my boyfriends parent's business answering phones, making copies, mailing, shipping... pretty much any little thing to make everyone else's life a little easier :).…
  • I have crossed that border more times than I can count! So I guess that makes me an expert. I struggled with being over 200 for years (my heighest was around 218). I am only 5'2, so carrying that amount of weight was not an easy task. I started to work out and lost about 16 lbs, so close to 200! Then, in an effort…
  • it doesnt burn calories when you drink it... it just helps to boost your metabolism naturally. I drink it because I like it, and I definetly stick to diet if its cold. Start drinking it and see how it effects you! for me, I didn't tell a difference- but then again I had been drinking it my whole life! Good luck to you!
  • i stand by my original thought that people who do not want to put in effort to do anything- not just weight loss- are lazy. If you are looking for a pill, then that means you do not want to do work. I am not saying that people with severe problems such as hypothyroidism/ other significant problems that need to take a pill…
  • add in some fruit and make it a big meal! :) it is def way better tasting then icky sugary cereal with little to no nutritional benifits... way less calories and WAY more filling! you can do this!
  • there is hope! I totally understand about the stretch mark... i went from thin(ish) to overweight very quickly- and have the stretch marks to prove it! they are on my inner thigh and my side. When I started losing weight I was not expecting to lose them, however the ones that i USED to have on my under arm, hips and the…
