  • Gawd, these sound yummy O.o
  • Sadly, yes... they were the first thing to go. I went from a 38D to a 34B; I remember the day the lady at Victoria's Secret measured me, and I made her do it *three times* just to be sure. Then I bought a bunch of really pretty bras to make myself feel better!
  • You win a shiny new interwebz for that :flowerforyou:
  • I do kettlebell almost daily -- I wear my HRM for the workout, then log it under "Circuit training." I think a few people on here have suggested the same.
  • OMG, I *adore* popcorn! For the past 20 years we've been using an air popper we had gotten as a wedding gift, but my husband came home a few weeks ago with one of those WhirlyPop pans. The air popper went immediately into the back of the pantry closet. One tablespoon of peanut oil, a handful of kernels, a little time --…
  • Mine is closed - and staying that way - because it's MY diary. Quite frankly, it's pretty creepy when people want to be snooping around wondering what you eat or don't eat. I don't look at ANY of my friends' diaries, because it's none of my business. Who am *I* to judge their choices? Nobody is going to get the standard…
  • No "snark" intended... just offering different points of view other than jumping immediately on the "dairy is evil" bandwagon. Whey protein does not necessarily indicate lactose issues. It could very well be that her body is just not used to getting such large amounts of protein, hence her issues.
  • Yes, Google.. and find *this*: http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/protein/whey-protein-sideeffects-information.htm And this: http://www.raysahelian.com/wheyprotein.html And even this: http://www.livestrong.com/article/262081-cooking-with-whey-isolate/
  • Whey isolate can be practically lactose-free, so if she's drinking the right type of protein then there wouldn't be a lactose intolerance issue. I have lactose sensitivity -- and I also have a rather large chocolate protein and almond milk shake every night before bed. No ill effects, and no "ravaging" of acne.
  • Apparently, denying oneself an occasional treat makes one grumpy. Either that, or someone had their cornflakes piddled in this morning... Anyhoo -- I've been making this for *ages*. Angel food cake mix is the main ingredient because it already contains the egg whites needed to produce cake, and any other flavor cake…
  • Hellz yeah!
  • Jeans... my favorite topic. Since we can wear them all the time in the office, and I'm pretty much at my goal weight, I've given myself the OK to splurge a bit and check out some of the pricier brands to add to the Levi's that I "rediscovered" in the past year. The current rotation has a couple of pairs of Lucky…
  • I had the same problem... until I realized that I was putting more weight on my toes than my heels. Once I started concentrating on pressing my heels down, the numbness went away,
  • Online gaming (EQMac), ren faires, and historical reenactments -- including black powder demonstrations with flintlocks and cannon!
  • We were engaged at 20 years old... had been together since we were 14 (with no other dating)... married at 23... and we'll be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on May 8th.
  • Yeppers... which is why I work out *extra* hard on days that I really need a Five Guys' cheeseburger. With extra cheese.... Just my $.02 on what started as (to me, at least) a very condescending post.
  • I have one, maybe two donuts a week... used to be one or two a DAY. The difference now is that I spend a ton of $$ on frozen ones from Holey Donuts (I usually wait for the free shipping offers), and have no problem fitting those yummy baked goodies into my macros for the day. The Pink Velvet ones are a *perfect* substitute…
  • Adding a bit of lean protein (like chicken) to your stir-fry will do you a world of good... feed the muscles that will help you burn the fat!
  • My Keurig was the best investment EVER! My husband doesn't drink coffee, and I can't drink a whole pot at one sitting, so one cup at a time is perfect. You can sometimes find great deals on the K-cups at wholesale places (Sam's, Costco, BJ's, etc.), but I also like using the refillable pods. That way I can take advantage…
  • ^ This. The Vanilla Bean Torte one is even better... to the point where I almost feel guilty drinking it!
  • I have both -- a Polar FT4 and a Fitbit. I've found the Fitbit to be *very* accurate with step counting, and now that MFP and the Fitbit site "talk" to each other, I have a much more accurate view of how many calories I burn throughout the day. I reserve the HRM for "intense" exercise (kettlebell, cardio, etc.), and enter…
  • Eat, drink and be merry... for tomorrow you could get run over by a cement truck while jogging on your way to Whole Foods to pick up your soy milk. ^^^ LOVE THIS! Thanks for the chuckle this morning! I needed that! Thanks... I'm thinking I should make this my profile page quote.
  • Yep. This. I have absolutely no desire to get "ripped" and look like She-Hulk -- neither I nor the love of my life find it attractive, and dropping 100 pounds in the past three years has left me with too much loose skin anyway. And I'm perfectly fine with that... because I have medical stats that are the envy of people…
  • I do believe that the OP is my new hero... :flowerforyou:
  • I've eaten them just about every day during the work week for lunch for the past 450 days... they haven't had any adverse effect on me. Sure, they're a little higher in sodium, but there's nothing stopping me from cutting out additional sodium the rest of the day -- and I'm under my sodium macros about 99% of the time. To…
  • All. The. Time. I even convince myself sometimes that I'll wake up in the morning to find that all the pounds have come back. :ohwell: I still automatically head for the "women's" section of the stores... gravitate towards the 2X shirts or size 22 pants... tell myself that I won't fit into anything stylish. Then common…
  • Flatouts whole wheat flatbread... made pizza for dinner with one tonight. Deeeelicious!
  • Why "give up" anything? Unless you have some kind of food sensitivity/allergy, I really don't see any reason to give up eating what you love -- just find healthier ways to prepare it or have smaller portions of the original. This is what I've done, and it's seems to have worked pretty well for me.
  • ... is even better covered in dark chocolate. Trust me on this. I'm an expert.
