I usually keep some of the Skinny Cow candy snacks in my desk drawer at work, and occasionally the Dove dark chocolates. However, my *favorite* afternoon fix is a NuGo Dark Mocha protein bar. They're huge, have 10 grams of protein, and satisfy me far more than my afternoon Snickers bar used to!

When I started this a year ago, I told myself that it took over twenty years to put all the weight on... so if I could take it off in a couple of years I'd consider myself happy. I'm now only about seven pounds from my goal (yes, in the dreaded "OMG-I've-plateaued-and-the-last-ten-pounds-refuse-to-leave" mode!), but I'm…

Exactly one year ago today, I was in a 20W (or 22W, depending on the cut), and weighed 201 pounds at 5'2". Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that I would hit my goal of a size 12. I'm now down to 127 pounds, and a size 4P/6P in pants... so much for that initial goal! :)

And this is exactly while I'm sticking with EQMac.... :/

Yeah... I had a grilled cheese sandwich, some onion rings, and a few sips of a pumpkin pie shake from Sonic today. Oh noez -- It's gonna KILL me!!! Riiiiiight. Life is too damned short not to treat yourself once in a while. That's why it's called a "TREAT," people.

Ya know, I think I'm in the same boat. The scale has been stuck for the past few weeks... with only *7.2* pounds until I reach my goal. I've been so proud of staying under my daily goals that I've ignored the fact that my net calories haven't exceeded 1200 in a while. Coincidentally, just about the same amount of time that…

You never forget your first Doctor.... :)

Depends on how *you* can handle it. Some people do, others don't... I *occasionally* do, but only if I'm hungry. I won't force myself to eat just for the sake of eating and hitting a number. Play around with it, and see what works for YOU. Good luck :)

BUMP! :)

I've been hearing this a *lot* lately -- I don't think there has been a workday that has gone by without hearing it at least two or three times, and I have yet to find a polite way of telling people to mind their own business (It's SO very tempting to toss out "Yeah? Well, you don't have to see me naked!"). I've noticed…

I think it depends on the type of workout. I've been doing KettleWorX for five weeks now, and have worm my HRM for every session. I've burned as much as 240 calories during one workout and as little as 80 during another -- and all of the sessions are the sane length, 26 minutes from start to finish, including warm up/cool…

I really don't think there are such things... here's an explanation: http://caloriecount.about.com/negative-calories-myth-explained-b349703

This is actually my problem as well... which is why I'm really curious to see a definitive answer on this :)

Well put! While I will *never* be able to wear a bikini or short skirt (too many surgeries/too much loose skin), no one is going to tell me that I'm "too old" to wear my Gryffindor t-shirt or my skull and crossbones earrings. Yes, I also shop at Hollister... and yes, I love to wear shirts with oddball sayings or graphics…

If ever this site needed a "Like" button, it's because of THIS post :)

I usually pull out the pair of size 22 pants that are still hanging in the closet (the ones that I can now fit my entire body into one leg), and remind myself that I never want to get that big again. Works like a charm every time :)

Just reading the few posts here on the forums, I can see that a lot of people are "doing the diet again." THAT'S the problem -- the "again" part. You need to make a lifestyle change, not rely on a quick fix every few months. And quite frankly, I had enough of HCG during my infertility treatment days. The thought of…

Help, help -- I'm being repressed!

You are most DEFINITELY not alone here! Don't look at it as an "OMG -- I need to lose ALL that?!?!?!?". Just set small goals, celebrate the little achievements, and know you're making yourself healthier in the long run :)

Love my Droid... but the only reason I have one is because I was tired of waiting for Verizon to come out with their version of the iPhone. I'll be upgrading once my current contract is up, as the iPhone will play *much* nicer with all the Macs in the house :)

I just got in my KettleWorX package last weekend. The first attempt (with the 10-pounder) seriously kicked my *kitten* -- and that was just the sample workout on the intro DVD! I walked like an 80-year-old for two days afterwards, but when my HRM showed that I burned 250 calories in 20 minutes, I figured it was worth a…

I love, Love, LOVE the sour cream and onion ones! I keep a box on my desk at work for those mid-afternoon crunchy/salty cravings :)

My Wii Fit scale has been pretty accurate -- it even matched the doctor's scale last week :)

My favorite afternoon snack at work is Chobani fat-free vanilla Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of honey mixed in... yummy!

Centrum also makes chewable ones that taste just like orange baby aspirin. My husband takes those because he also has issues with large pills.

I don't know if this would work for *everyone*, but the couple of times I've been on vacation during the past six months I switched my goals here on MFP to "maintenance" level for those days. It gave me a few more calories to work with, I felt a lot less pressure -- and both times I still managed to lose during the times I…

Oh, it WILL happen... trust me. I was feeling just like you after losing the first 10 pounds or so, and then one Monday morning I was getting dressed for work, and *nothing* fit. Seriously -- I had to scramble around looking for a belt to keep my pants up! Just hang in there :)

And don't forget -- going over your maximum calorie burn HR will put your body into conservation mode, and you won't burn as many calories.
