Diagnosing chronic migraines and/or tension headaches is difficult. But daily migraines could be a sign of high blood pressure - which is incredibly dangerous if it is causing pain. I had about 12 to 15 a month a few years ago and had a total work up by a neurologist. This included blood work, keeping a food diary, getting…

W4D1 complete. I seriously thought my legs would give out on me on that last 5 min run, but surprise, surprise - they didn't. I did try to pace myself, backing off my previous run pace of about 9:50/mi so that I could be sure to run the whole time. Maybe by the end of the week I'll have a better time. Here's details on my…

I hope you feel better soon. Are you taking anything? I ended up with walking pneumonia twice because I let one go too long without treatment. I hope you can rest this weekend!

I got my run in yesterday, I just couldn't log in to update this page. I wonder why the mobile app doesn't allow for message board postings? Anyhow, I'm getting nervous about next week. I have no idea how I'm going to run for 5 min at a time. I guess I need to slow my pace down. Stats below: W3D2 Distance: 2.24 mi Walk…

I missed my run today due to tornados and horrible storms. I really like running outside and I really couldn't bring myself to get on the treadmill - although I should have. I plan to run in the morning and on Saturday, so I'll get all 3 in this week.

I blew it out this weekend too and consumed most of my calories via liquid diet - if you know what I mean. But this is far from normal for me, but alcohol calories are harder for me to burn for some reason. You can make up for it this week. My legs got tired on the last 3 min run too. I pushed through it though. W3D1 Done.…

Hi everyone! I completed W2D3 on Friday in 30 degree weather and 20 mph winds. I have to say I am thankful this type of weather never happens in Georgia or else my winter running plans might have to be moved in doors. I do think I like running outside in 30 degree weather way better than in 100 degree weather. Distance:…

I'm right there with you sonyachan! W2D2 done. Here are today's run stats. Speed is picking up but it certainly isn't any easier by the end :) . Distance: 2.27 mi Walk Pace: 15:05/mi Run Pace: 9:35/mi Cal Burned: 203 I'm kinda excited about my run on Friday. Going to the mountains of NC for a little vaca. I see some trail…

I listen to music and often sing along :). I'm using a podcast I found that changes the song for every walk/run change and I love that!

W2D1 Done. How is it that adding a mere 30 seconds to a run makes you feel like you might collapse? I don't know where you are, but it is HOT in Georgia today. Yikes. What happened to 60 degrees? As you can see I decreased my distance, but increased speed in running. I'm guessing that's how this thing is supposed to work…

Hey tall ladies! I'm a 5'9" girl. And much like you guys, people are shocked when they see what I weigh. Other than the way my clothes fit and the lack of cheekbones, even at 170 (my heaviest) people had no idea that I weighed that much. I've got a large frame, which of course throws everything off kilter. My goal is to be…

@dexters_dexterity: I'm not using a pedometer. I'm using my iphone and the C25K app tracks everything for you. I've used the pedometer app, but it's fair at best. Are you using an app or pedometer?

W1D3 done. Increased my run speed and my mileage too. I think running to music helped me speed up. Oh - and I have a new weigh in!!! 152.2. It really goes to show how poorly I was eating prior to tracking EVERYTHING. Here are my run stats: Distance: 2.51 mi Walk Pace: 15:03/mi Run Pace: 09:42/mi Cal: 236 Oh - and I found…

Getting psyched up for tomorrow's run. What do you listen to when you C25K? I've been listening to Sirius (I'm a Howard Stern fan) on my iphone or Pandora. Both of which I like. But tonight, I started checking out C25K podcasts. This one is my favorite so far, mostly because it mirrors my musical taste. I love the idea of…

W1D2 Done. I think I'm coming down with a little cold so I struggled some today, but ended up running a little farther than I did on day 1. Distance: 2.31 Walk Pace: 15.00/mi Run Pace: 10:38/mi Cal: 204 I know I'm not "supposed" to weigh myself until Monday, but I'm going to do it on Friday before my run.

W1D1 Check. Here are my stats. Distance: 2.18mi Walk Pace: 15.28/mi Run Pace: 10.42/mi Cal: 240 I'm considering doing light weights on my days off. Anyone do resistance on off days?

I'm 5'9" as well and when I was your age I was 120. I think that is as small as I've ever been. If I knew to eat better when I was younger I might have been able to be thinner. I think if you feel good about yourself and you are healthy, that's all that matters. I will tell you that I lived with a veggie all though college…

I'd love to join this group. I successfully did C25k for 4 weeks and then fell off the wagon. I'm ready to climb back on!!! Count me in! CW: 156 mini- GW: 149 Heather
