Hi there, starting over again in the weight loss journey. Working to lose 20 pounds in 12 months. My husband has been an amazing inspiration and has lost 40 pounds over a 12 month period. Looking for new friends to help stay motivated. Add me.

Hi there! I too have had MFP for some time and had lost sight of my goal. I'm slowly making my way back. I am exercising every day with free weights every other day and cardio every day. I cannot afford a gym membership so I am using JeFIT app for free weights and YouTube is my best friend for fun cardio like TaeBo and…

Hello! I am 28yrs old. Engaged! Originally joined MFP August 2012 and I weighed 144 pounds, then a car accident the following month led to my downward spiral and I gained 10 pounds in 4months. It took 5 more pounds before I snapped out of my funk and made the decision to get back in the game! I currently weigh 151.4…

Frustration and defiance. I know I can lose weight, I know I can workout, I know I can eat healthy and be happy. When I was younger, my dad was a marathon runner, wanted me in sports and to constantly be better. He pushed me a lot, but not in the right way. It was always "why can't you be like my best friends daughter? she…

This is a good habit for me to make because I need to keep aware of what I eat and keep myself motivated to stay o track. Now when I get to consistently checking food calories and overreacting to not meeting my daily goal then I will worry. There is a line between healthy habit and unhealthy obsession. We must find our…

wanting everything at once. I am planning my wedding. I am taking Organic Chem (lecture and a lab)and Calculus and I'm working 30 hrs a week. I want to go to pharmacy school but I'm frustrated that splitting myself up so much is preventing me from focusing on my health. No time to exercise AND do homework. I want to go…

Muscle weighs more than fat! I gained weight before I ever lost any. The more muscle you have (theoretically) the more calories you burn. Honestly though I lost about 17pounds in 6weeks with the help of my doctor and weekly visits. It can be done but you need determination and a strict diet and exercise regime

I am not that far from you as I am 27yrs old and trying to get back into shape. Its been difficult but in a year I have managed to go from 170pounds to 140pounds in March. I went back up to 150 and that is when I decided to do something about it. I have only been on MFP for a week now but I find having friends on here…

Amazing! I need to make small goals like that for myself. Mostly I stick to a routine until I feel it is too easy for me then move on to something more. Today was definitely a bad start. Yesterday ended with 2 slices of pieces which I continued to feel this morning. My run was terrible! but I hoping to make the rest of the…

HI! I think this app is AMAZING, but like you, I have only started this app this week. I am 27yr old who had to move back home for financial reasons and I am looking for people who want to stay healthy like me. My dad, 55yrs, was a multi-marathon runner and while he can no longer run full marathons has been training me to…

I am new to this site but I too am looking for motivational friends. I find that if I am held accountable for my actions I am more likely to keep at it. I started running 2 months ago and barely do 2miles a day and I am hoping to do a 5k in November. In addition to this I do TaeBo (don't judge me I love it!) about 3x a…
