  • I would suggest focusing on what YOU want and what YOU think and feel about yourself. No one else's opinion really matters. Perhaps instead of going on a diet, think of yourself as adopting a new healthy lifestyle. Take things one day at a time, and try to be consistent in what you eat and how much you exercise. Think of…
  • I wear my battle scars/tiger stripes with pride. I prefer them to the excess weight.
  • A close friend of mine noticed after I'd lost 11lbs. I couldn't see a difference until about 30lbs. I did, however feel a difference at about 15lbs, when I could exercise for longer. At the beginning, I focused mostly on whether my clothes could see a difference, as mirrors and scales can sometimes be deceptive.
  • I don't know if you're interested in a chick perspective, but I almost exclusively exercise at home. I bought a set of weights and a mat. When I first got the weights, I did some of the weight exercises that came with the weights. And after watching some home exercise videos (30 day shred mostly), I integrated the…
  • Be honest and realistic with yourself.
  • I exercise at least 5 times a week-at home ( can't afford gym fees) and I walk a lot, as I hate cardio and I don't/won't run. At home I lift light(ish) weights, do squats, lunges and various stomach exercises. I also do 100 squats whilst waiting for my morning coffee to percolate. And when I feel to punish myself, I'll put…
  • Thanks for all the kind words. I know how much these kinds of posts have helped me, and I hope I've done the same for others
  • Brilliant. You have lost the exact amount I had in my head when I started out. Thanks for the motivation. You and your family look awesome.
  • I have been doing a mixture of ADF and 5:2, and am 5lbs off my goal 1. It works for me, because I can be lazy when it comes to exercise. We all know where abs are really made.
  • I lost around 75lbs in four months, however I was extremely overweight ( obese according to my BMI) It is easily doable to lose 2 stone in four months healthily. Eat cleanly 95% of the time, and if you tone up you will look smaller too, even if you don't hit your target. Good luck.
  • NO. A hundred times NO. Its a terrible EVIL drug in terms of trying to lose weight in my opinion. Lost 52lbs since I've stopped taking it.
  • Definitely motivates. Especially after the weigh ins when the scale number wont move for money or love. Seeing the number get closer to your goal number is the ultimate motivator.
  • Been doing ADF since 5th August 2012. 31lbs down. Working for me.
  • Lie flat on your back, arms spread out to the sides. Keeping both legs together, lift them off the floor. Lower them slowly, until they are ALMOST but not quite touching the floor. Repeat until this hurts. Do this for a month and see what happens to your stomach.
  • Eat less, exercise more.
  • Hello there, I have been doing the ADF since August 8th of this year, and have lost 25lbs so far. I have modified it to suit my lifestyle and weight loss goals, but the only part I follow stringently is only eating every other day. It was difficult at first, but it gets easier. There is lots of conflicting opinions and…
