  • hello blues.... I am not feeling well today. I caught a stomach bug of some sort. I lost my appetite too. I hope it moves on soon. Stayed home from work to take it easy. almomay - good for you to sign up for another round of classes. Requires dedication... here's to a productive 2010! msh0530 - I just got myself back on…
  • I did this too. And I think I may have been accidentally starving myself sometimes. I would underestimate cals then only eat half of the exercise cals because I was unsure. I don't want to get into a habit of not eating the fuel my body needs, so I'm going to use the HRM to keep me in check. I'll also learn what exercises…
  • Great thread debnu1... I am enjoying reading the feedback. almomay - good luck with the job search. If you need us to proofread anything or offer some ideas... feel free to ask. Went to the gym yesterday and today... logged all my food - feeling great about getting myself back in gear. OHHH! and I got a heart rate monitor…
  • Debnu1 - I am totally with you. I am jumping back into gear as of today. I am logging my food, working out, planning meals in advance. I spent to much time away from MFP. My body is yearning for the healthier life style. So today starts my re-dedication to myself. Have a good week blues!!
  • Hello Blues! I have been totally out of it the past two weeks in soooo many ways.... but I wanted to get back on MFP and wish you all a happy holiday. AND I promise to get back into gear. I've been pretty bad lately and my body is not happy with me either. I'm going to enjoy the Christmas Holiday with my husband, but I'm…
  • Great job team Blue!! We are doing great! I am back on track after a weekend of horrible eating. But that's ok. Can't I'm here now and the bad eating will continue no longer. Back to the gym tonight. Here's to a good week :drinker:
  • Sorry I've been MIA. My husband and I are in Vienna, Austria this weekend visiting some friends and experiences the Christmas Markets. I won't be back for the Monday weigh in - kinda glad though, I've been allowing myself to enjoy all the different foods Austria has to offer  But I know I'll be back on track…
  • debnu1 - so sorry to hear about the doctor's orders for no exercise. You will really have to focus on your diet. Are you able to take walks?
  • I expect the last 10 to be the worst as well... I've never weighted my goal weight at all during my adult life. Last time I was 115 was the beginning of my freshman year of high school. But it's been a dream to get to 115... and for me that is a perfectly healthy weight to be. We can do it!! We will get those last few…
  • I read it wrong.... been a long day. I agree - everyone keep up the great work. We are doing great over the holidays!
  • Awww... thank you Sanifrey! I am about 5'1"... so on the short side for sure. My goal weight is 115 lbs. Smadag1 - I really wish the VA/MD snow that occurred last Saturday (my last day in the US) could of made it your way. I had so much planned for that day and it snowed 3 inches... I was sad, but the snow was still pretty.
  • Maybe I saw it wrong but... did you post the correct chart in the Biggest Loser challenge?? I looked at the blog and didn't see my lose for this week and I wasn't sure.
  • Can't guarantee 5 days a week.... but I will state my goals: Tuesday - 50 min spin class Wednesday - 50 min step class Friday - 50 min spin class
  • Very motivational debnu1!! I always try my best to plan out my meals and snacks. It gives me a plan to follow that requires no thought during the day - and no guilt later on. Great job using your body's natural wake up time as time for an early workout. Gotta find ways to fit in the workout. smadag1 - I'm glad to hear that…
  • Weigh in Day Blues!! I am back home from my 10 day vacation. I use the word vacation loosely there because I was SO BUSY and even went into the office for a few days. Anyway, I am back home with my regular scale. And I am thrilled to report a loss of about 1.5 pounds!! I am so happy. I worked so hard over…
  • WOW so much is going on with the Blues members. I hope everyone makes it through the rough patches ok. stay strong and take care of yourself and the ones you love. I'd like to compliment Macaroni Grill. Went out to dinner with the in-laws last night to Macaroni Grill which I notoriously thought was an extremely unhealthy…
  • Sorry to hear about your co-worker. This is a tough time for you - even more important for you to take care of yourself and stay strong.
  • Last time I went to the Doctor's, I didn't even look at what the scale read. I use my scale at home and that's it.
  • Add in some cut up green peppers. I eat them instead of potato chips now. They are great. Sometimes I even put them on my sandwich for a crunch. Best of all... it's about 30 cals for an entire green pepper.
  • Hello All! Hope everyone is doing well. Congrats on the weight loss this week!! I feel like I've been doing really good this week. I've made time to exercise everyday and I am tracking all my foods. I went to the grocery store for some low cal food for lunchtime sandwiches and snacks. I will weigh in next monday when I get…
  • Hey Blues! I've been enjoying some time with my family so I haven't been on the MFP message boards lately. Although, I have logged my food  And I have been able to get in at least 30 mins of exercise everyday! Anyway, I won't be able to weigh myself on Monday... so please put me at the same weight. Have a…
  • Happy Thanksgiving Blues!!! Well I made it back to the US yesterday. I am so proud of myself!! With bringing my own food for the plane ride AND my mom-in-laws low cal dinner - I totally stayed within cals!!!! I felt much better after the plane ride as a result. I knew I made the right choice to bring my own food for the…
  • I did it!! I did 45 mins on the treadmill with walk/jog interval training. I did the challenge on Thanksgiving!! yay! I'm motivated for a good rest of the day.
  • OMG I so have the "I'm not short, I'm fun sized" shirt too!!!!!!! hahaha
  • Great job with the weight loss everyone!! All the motivation is great. We will need it this week!! Thanks for the travel tips on the other post. Pacing while waiting is a great idea. I usually just sit and listen to my ipod or read. At least Heathrow airport has a cool central shopping area where everyone has to wait. I…
  • Please count me in too!! Sometimes the shorter folks have to look at things differently when it comes to weight loss... maybe we won't lose 2 lbs a week like everyone else. But for us .5lbs is huge! I'd like to keep track of this thread to see how the shorties are doing and any tips for the vertically challenged …
  • Blues, I'm looking for some travel weightloss tips. My husband and I are headed back to the US tomorrow for a week and a half stay over Thanksgiving. We are staying with my in-laws but also doing some travel to visit my family in 2 other states. I'm already dreading Thanksgiving with a 2 pm dinner with my family and a 6 pm…
  • Very well said. Thank you so much for that motivation! We believe in you debnu1. I know you can do this. Stick with what you know is right. As long as your doing the right things, the number on the scale is just simply a number. Keeping up the motivation is hard... so easy to give in. And there will be days when we do. The…
  • chrissyh - congrats on the 7 mile run!! Huge accomplishment! Are you sore?? msh0530 - fantastic job with the water!! AND great job finding a low cal food that works for you. j_g4ever - sorry to learn about your procedure on Monday. Take care of yourself and do what the doctor's tell you. I'm sending you best wishes vibes…
  • I concur with the others. I take spinning classes 3 times a week. It's a great workout. The amount I sweat depends on the instructor. For the newbies, give it a try. Everyone is new in the beginning. You can let the instructor know your new and they will help you set up the bike and give you some tips. I do see a…
