  • Hope everyone is doing well. No weight loss for me this week, but that's ok. We hosted a fondue party this weekend and I over ate. I worked out extra hard Sat and Sun to help make up for it. Ran 4.5 miles on Sun + 30 mins on elliptical!! Today is a spin class. On the bright side, I had a trainer at the gym test my body fat…

  • Good Luck getting to Baltimore!! My sister lives near Baltimore, she is expecting 20 - 30 inches of snow this weekend!!!
  • Well I have been doing 1 day a week without a workout. This week I had it scheduled for Friday, however, my body is telling me that today (Thursday) is the day. So I will be good and listen. I guess I didn't realize my body actually required a break every 6 or 7 days - just figured it was a good idea. But a day off is a…
  • j_g4ever - thanks for the book information. I second the we ALL need massages theory!!!! I am taking a day off from the gym today. I've noticed that my body will give me signs when I need a rest day. I went to a step class last night. I usually have plenty of energy and really enjoy the workout, but last night I had no…
  • I feel the same way. I'll never be able to relax and not worry about food. I'll never be able to skip exercise and be lazy. I will always have to work for it. I am slowly starting to accept that. I guess that's what they mean whey they say, its a life style not a diet.
  • smadag1 - good luck with the P90x!! I hope it helps to jump start your body. tttthumper - it really does feel better to be in control of food and to eat healthier. Keep it up. debnu1 - High Five for the early AM workout. WoW! 900 Cals!
  • Awww... thanks Sis!! Glad you enjoyed the meals/snacks I made. You can make it work if you try hard enough. Some other ideas.... • Wow!! Great comeback speech!!! What book did you read by Jillian that gave you so much motivation!?! Welcome back... or maybe welcome home! Now go kill it with a workout!!!!
  • I agree with tttthumper's suggestions. Walking is also low impact. And maybe some upper body workouts - punching, arm windmills, etc.
  • Neat! I'm sitting pretty at a 12.
  • Stress can definitely cause someone to eat. I've also found that I sometimes binge when I don't drink enough water. In reality, I am thirsty NOT hungry! Next time you find your self binging, stop, take a step back and ask why? if you know you shouldn't eat that food, they why are you doing it? Fix the problem... don't feed…
  • Give it a shot!!! I agree with the positives that everyone else wrote. I take spinning 3 or 4 times a week. Each instructor is a little different. Sounds like you already ride a bike, but if your booty is sore after the spinning class, considering buying a cushioned seat cover. I bought one and LOVE it. My tail bone is…
  • Well said msh0530!! I have to remind my self that goals are just that... goals. They are not do or die sort of things and they can be changed, and are flexible. Congrats on getting rid of those holiday pounds. Seems to take forever to really get rid of them!! My goals for February: - Lose 2 more lbs by Feb. 26th. -…

  • Great idea!! I love my narrow waist, shoulders and collar bones. I really am thankful for the beautiful body I've been given. It's my job to treat it right!
  • Happy Monday Blues! Remember to Weigh in! I hope the scale is nice to everyone. All my hard work this past week paid off in my weigh in this morning. I am pleased with the results and will keep moving forward. I am past the half way mark now, but I'm almost at the dreaded last 10 lbs. So this isn't going to get any easier.…
  • Wow! That was a very interesting segment. It really does come down to common sense and exercise. It's unfortunate that society doesn't make that easy.

  • How about those packets of tuna fish they have on the shelves. The kind you just rip open. Pair that up with some crackers. If I was you, I'd opt out of eating everymeal out. I'd try to do lunch myself, and eat out with the group for dinner maybe. It's tough, make smart choices.
  • I just added in a quick 20 min workout in the AM. It does wake me up and I feel more energetic in the mornings. I still do a longer, more intense evening workout because that's when I have more time and when the gym offers classes I want. I enjoy working out both times of the day but I think I prefer the longer cardio…
  • Good Day Blues! I woke up early again today and did level 2 of the 30 day shred. That DVD really gets me sweating in that 20 or so mins.
