I've also been wondering about this! First of all, I'm not very graceful (especially when I'm nervous), so stilettos are a no go. The ceremony will be on the grass, so the shoes need to be stable. I'd love a chunky heel, but I'm worried my feet will hurt a few hours in! How do I balance comfort with femininity and the…

10/12/14! I also think October is a great month, but maybe I'm biased. :) I would love more October wedding friends! I was off track for a bit, but now I need to get back in the game! It seems like a long way away, but I know it's right around the corner!

Awww, @micqs, that sounds so rough. *hugs* You're strong, you'll make it through. Have you considered asking your foster dad to walk you down the aisle and include your bio dad in the ceremony in a much less important but still significant way? Maybe that would placate him enough to allow you to have the loving experience…

Aww, nvaughn7, you're too sweet!! :flowerforyou: Vera Wang is a bridal goddess, good choice. It's such a beautiful, romantic style! I'm going shopping in January or February (I'm over 10 months away), but I love Pronovias, Jenny Lee, and Justin Alexander. @micqs: I'm a bit farther away, but according to my planner, 6…

I've also hit a plateau, unfortunately. I'm not too down about it, though. I've made some big changes -- started working out with a personal trainer and doing minor lifting (hopefully will work up to heavy weight lifting!) in my problem areas that would show in a dress. My back, arms, shoulders, and bum are getting so…

Hey everyone! I'm getting married in October 2014, so I have 11 months to (hopefully) lose 30 plus or minus pounds of fat and gain at least 10 pounds of muscle! This seems like plenty of time, but I'm shopping for my dress in late January and I know won't feel happy if I jiggle or bulge too much. I've been looking forward…

I've tried it a couple of times. Truthfully, I lost MAYBE half a pound each time, if that, and didn't keep it off. I felt miserable while I was doing it, even though I was used to around 1300 calories a day. Maybe I had limited success because I didn't like some of the things on the menu. I've had much, much better results…

Hi everyone! I'm Robin, and I got engaged almost a month ago in Japan! We're getting married in October 2014, so fortunately I have a bit of time to get to my goal. I'm 5'5" and currently at 159, US size 12, although my highest was 175. My goal is 140, but who knows how low I can get! I don't even want to reserve dress…

- I'm obsessed with bell peppers and carrots! My favorite snack involves dipping strips of yellow bell pepper into guacamole (wholly guacamole packets = only 100 calories) and/or french onion laughing cow wedges (35 cal each). - Also, only a couple of tortilla chips with lots of salsa! (hint of lime chips + pineapple salsa…

Feel free to add me too! I'll be your cheerleader when you burn a lot of calories or stay under your limit! :) I think this amazing support network is the reason this will actually work for me. It's been frustrating because my body has been adjusting in weird ways and not losing like I want it to (yet), but my MFP friends…
