Mike, you and anyone else for that matter can add me. I had 200 hundred to lose when I started and I'm half way there. It's NOT easy and you'll want to throw in the towel sometimes but you'll eventually get to a point where you say "what in the %$#^ was I thinking by living that way?!

I'm so glad I reached out. Great points for me to consider. Thanks everyone!!

Really good point. I haven't given in so I don't even know what junk food would actually taste like. I may just be craving what it USED to taste like to me. Hhhhmmm, cookies for lunch anyone???

Northern Utah Anyone can add me but only if you check in regularly. I keep my friend list small for support and to be supportive.
-
You're welcome to add me. I'm on here daily.

It's a five K RUN. Not a five K walk, crawl.
-
Yes!!
-
I'm suppose to run one on December 1 but not doing well as far as the schedule goes. So I'll see if there's one in January or around groundhog day or something.
-
Thanks everyone. At the start of all this I was going to celebrate on the 100th day but the day is half over and I just barely realized it. So, maybe I'll try to knock out another 100. :drinker:

C25K is SUPER hard. I'm way behind in training but still doing it. Please let us know how Saturday goes!! Don't be nervous. You'll rock!!

Why "no", dork?
-
I'm VERY happy with my life...I don't want to rush to 5 years from now. Biggest mistake??
-
Thanks angelkelzs.
-
Thanks ar1ms. Will do. I was just a little concerned the muscles might need additional recovery. Not worried about the discomfort as much.
-
Thanks everyone. You rock! Just to clarify, I'm 43. Not sure why it says 35 for my age. I'll try to fix it. :-)

You'll get more friends by filling out the info on your profile section. I stick around 15 some people have hundreds. Good luck with everything!

Here's a challenge I can relate to! Today is my 76th day of not having ANYTHING to drink other than water. And believe me it was hard. As an officer we get soda for .10 at a corner gas station here in town and I got VERY hooked on diet dr pepper. I never knew how hooked until I tried to stop. I don't miss it one tiny bit…

I can't speak for everyone one of course, but I reach out to those that have the same goals as I do. If your sister fills out the questions on her profile she'll probably get a lot more requests. I have found that having a few friends that check in every day is better than having over 100 friends that don't check in or…

Request sent. Others may add me as well but please read my profile first.

I agree. She may be accounting for exercise. But still...1400 seems super low! My health coach recently bumped me up 200 more calories per day in order to prevent me from going into starvation mode. I'm down 70 pounds so I think she knows her stuff. I'm at 2200 now for the next 3 weeks then we revisit it. I'm to be in the…

Anybody that is willing to give and/or wants support can message me to be a friend. I love MFP and love working with people...in fact I do it all day long so let's do this. Good babyhazelz1!!

Add me too if you'd like. I'm 43 and juuuuuuuusstt about half way to my "goal" weight. Been doing this all summer and still learning. I'm a juvenile probation officer so I LOVE working with and being around all sorts of people. Good luck!!

I'm not a pro on this by any means. My preference is do this journey as much as I can by staying as clean as I can. Lots of water, veggies, fruits, exercise. So far it's working for me. I do take a one-a-day but even some articles say that's not necessary.
-
I can relate to a lot of what you're saying. I'm down a pretty good chunk but have a loooong way to go. I LOVE MFP for being such a great support system. Good luck with getting your license. I bet you're looking excited to be able to help tons of people make the great life choices you're currently making.

I'm fairly new as well. Back in July I had to change EVERYTHING about how I approached my health. I have a desk job, I LOVE all kinds of food and until April of this year I didn't even have a yard to do yard work in so all that lead to disaster. I'm now down 68 pounds and I'm NOT going back to the way I use to live. It's…

Diet dr pepper. And well, MANY other things. But I've been "clean" since the first part of July which is massive for me.
-
Holy crap! 80 pounds in 7 months! That's a great accomplishment.

Sorry for all the "replies" on here. Thought they were going to the people that sent them to me. Can you tell I'm new around here??
