Good to know. Thanks! I read people saying their brains feel foggy (as well as their bodies), but so far that's not my experience.

Better skin and hair too? Looking forward to it! Thanks!

3 p.m. for me too! And 3 a.m. for waking up and not getting back to sleep. The "magic" number. Anyway, good to know that you have more steady energy, if not so dramatic. I think that sounds healthier. I do feel hungry when I'm hungry, but don't go around looking for snacks all the time.

I used to get that afternoon crash too sometimes, and almost always it was after a carby breakfast and lunch. Now I know. I don't think the crazy energy boost will stick around, just hope I keep at least some of it. I was wondering about it because I read all these posts of people doing Keto and feeling really tired. Not…

I imagine the weight loss and energy will even out some, but looking forward to all the good effects!

For something different, I've roasted chopped fennel and mashed it in with potatoes. When it's cooked the flavor is more subtle. Also good, trim, slice lengthwise in half or quarters (depends on how big), boil with sliced lemons, then drain and bake with olive oil and parm on top till a little brown on top. One more, trim…

Sounds great. Thanks!

Hiya! You can add me. I log almost every day, and I need some encouragement too.

Mine is too. I'm 52, walk everywhere, do cardio and weights regularly. I went to several docs a couple years ago because my heart felt like it was pounding through my chest, keeping me awake. I did a holter monitor for two days (the thing they attach to you that measures your heart rate), a stress echocardiogram (measured…

I read it and say "Hah. Yeah, right. I wish." And go on. And I am pretty close to the same cals in/burned most days.

Good luck with the supplements: I hope they help you!

During perimenopause (don't know how many years I was in, but at least 3) I started noticing that I was getting thicker around the middle, never my problem area, and was steadily gaining weight. I was tired all the time, often crashed in the late afternoon, and had the lovely side effect (still there) of feeling like my…

My absolute favorite (and I love most vegetables) is rapini, or broccoli raab (or some other names I've seen). It's a green with just a little bitterness, like arugula, and makes a great side or addition to pasta. I trim the ends, cut it into whatever size pieces I want, put it in a shallow pan with a little water to steam…

Wow, sorry. I'm not very good at this (didn't know how to tell anyone responded)! I put it in hot-ish, but cold probably works too (good for chicken salad!). Forks are great, but if you have a lot (like I did to make a pan of green chile enchiladas) this only takes a few seconds, and we can use a few extra minutes in our…

I'd love to! I'm getting off the computer and on the treadmill right after I post this!

I just did this, and it worked: yellow yolks, easy to peel, no green! I followed instructions in a book called "CookWise" that my mom gave me, all about the science of cooking. I've only done it once so far. Place eggs (not too fresh) in sauce pan, add 1TBSP of salt (she says this will prevent whites leaking out if egg…

Leftover Greek stuffed peppers (lean ground beef, tomatoes, onions, garlic, cinnamon, oregano, brown rice) with a salad and feta. I love leftovers: dinner is made!

Yes, please!
