Do you have good shoes? making sure your shoes are supportive is really key, and also, don't sweat it if you walk part of your run, you are actually getting moving! so don't get down on yourself, you are doing great! my first week i was a bit sore, but i was also running with old shoes... got new shoes for over-pronating,…

Finished my week 3/day 1! much easier that i had built it up to be in my head... i was running on my treadmill, and i rather run outside... for some reason i feel like i push myself more outside. Tomorrow will do it all over again!

Hey, just got caught up with all the posts, and realized i use <b>RUNDOUBLE</b> not RunKeeper... sorry! I'm excited for today: week 3 day 1! it changes it up a bit, and i like that! I hope to run outside today, otherwise i will be on my tread, either way, i will let ya know how all goes! Run on! :)

Running is addicting to me too, and that is why i am so excited to get back to it! i love the feeling that i know i could keep running past the time, or when i get my form in a groove and the run goes so well! Great job for starting!

I find that RunKeeper is really accurate with distance and stats, and it has quite a few options of C25K on it... i tried Endomondo and the GPS wasn't working correctly, as i was doing 1 minute miles! :) Good luck!

But doesn't it feel great to get through the run?!?! you will improve! Another book i have read is "ChiRunning" it is great for improving form while running, i am reading it again for the third time! :)

Jump on in! do you have a written program? or a smartphone app you are using? if not you can go to http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/index.shtml and print the running schedule or you can use an app like RunKeeper on your phone. Are you running outside or on a treadmill?

I did that the other week, i was running outside, and forgot to tell my app i wasn't on the treadmill... i wanted to start over, cuz i love to hear my stats, but i didn't, kept to the run. don't have to have the stats to run right?!?!

Great job! Doesn't it feel great to feel so good after you push yourself?? :) I plan to do 10K after the 5K, so we are sorta on the same track! Great job!

Are you using a running app on your phone? I am using RunKeeper, but there are tons of them... and it will tell you when to run, when to walk, and you can use Pandora or any other music, and it will still tell ya when to do what... i like it because i don't have to keep looking at my phone or watch. Keep it up!

Thanks all for commenting! I used to run a lot, without any issues, and never timed it, just went till i felt i had run out my stress, and it was such a great stress reliever for me. I just started last week, i will be on wk2 day 1 today, would enjoy some company! I am using the app: Run Double, tells me when to run, when to walk, tracks my calories, distance, etc... working well so far!
