  • Oh I guess I should put in yesterday and today's activities. 01/03/11: 3/7 Pull-ups Short walk 01/04/11: 4/7 Restish day 8 min Abs A couple of minutes of stairs and a little bit of light walking. I really wish my foot would get better. I have such an incredible desire to give my body a good *kitten* kicking but it won't…
  • True HIIT workouts are a max of 20 minutes. The HIIT that athletes do, such as sprinting and things like that. The point of HIIT is you should not be able to go for any longer once you're done, you should be entirely wiped by the time you're done a HIIT workout and that's why you should only do it only a couple of times a…
  • I know that if you're an athlete you obviously need more and endurance athletes especially but as for how low is too low I'm not really sure but I'm curious to find out if anyone has an answer.
  • Your trainer is a blithering idiot. Do you know what it would mean if people were to gain muscle quickly? Steroid dealers would go out of business. Unless you're the exception to the rule I seriously doubt that's the case. I'd like to see someone with a bit more knowledge interject to be certain but the majority at least…
  • That's all well and good except that the numbers are irrelevant as yoga isn't a cardio workout. Not only that but any time your hands are raised above your head the heart rate monitor thinks you're burning more than you are and a lot of yoga postures involve hands over head which will skew the numbers.
  • Muscle doesn't build quickly although I bet a lot of bodybuilders and gymrats wished it did. You've just put on water weight, drink more water and eventually you'll piss it out.
  • I seriously doubt that Bikram is burning upwards of 1K in calories. The heat of Bikram doesn't do anything except for limber up the joints. It doesn't help you to burn more calories. I'm not hating on yoga by any means. I love it and find it truly relaxing and I love the mindfulness of it but it's not a massive calorie…
  • For me it's chips and pizza. I was talking about that tonight and I mentioned how pizza is bad because I've used it as a treat and as a comfort. Bad day, buy a pizza. Good day, buy a pizza. Chips are the one thing that I can and will devour if they're near me and I don't feel guilty about it. They taste so damned good.
  • Hahahaha I was eating the healthy request thinking I was eating healthily and wondering why I felt so dried out. Not realising that it was insanely high in sodium.
  • by the way salsa is amazing. So few calories. I heard Jackie Warner tell a group of people to just slather it on everything.
  • almonds and fruit cucumbers baby carrots banana Haven't tried the apple or banana with peanut butter yet and nor have I tried the cheese + apple.
  • It's a little bit of salt it won't kill you. A banana was a good idea for the potassium and just be sure to drink plenty of water. It's not going to kill you it will just cause you to bloat a little maybe and retain water.
  • 01/03/11 - 1 mile - light walking
  • My foot is hating on me so bad! My foot is still multi-coloured. My toes look nasty. The bruising runs up to the top knuckle on all five toes and the bottom of my foot also has bruising as well as around the the foot. I know that I had planned to slowly do a 2 mile trail walk today and ended up going 10-15% of the way of…
  • Yoga burns very few calories.
  • Wow Tonya... Well said and thank you for teaching me something AGAIN! I didn't know about the 150 minutes a week thing.
  • I find the less sugar the better. Sodium just makes you bloat.
  • Picture your ideal body. Not your ideal weight. What does it look like? That should be the defining factor in whether or not you are more active. You don't need to go to a gym to be active. You can just dance around your living room or play the different games on Wii, Playstation, et cetera. As for the woman that mentioned…
  • I reside in the always beautiful but rarely ever sunny Burnaby, British Columbia.
  • Thank you Choco and congratulations on the 365 days. Amazing. 1/7 Fitness tests Walk: 14min 57secs - Trail - 1.1 miles Walk: 32min - Indoor - 2 mile Intermediate. 2/7 Airdyne: 23min/6.2 miles/Intervals
  • Hello everyone. If I start today can I post my exercises starting from 01/01/11?
  • One more thing. Is that facebook challenge open to the public?
  • Great post. I love how you opened yourself up and are forcing yourself to stay accountable. I just have one suggestion that comes from a show I have been watching. They try on outfits and then find one that will show off their figure when finished. The trainer then orders it in a size smaller. The outfit is used to…
  • 01/01/11 - 3 miles 01/02/11 - 6.2 miles
  • Butts, sorry to hear that you kept getting reset.
  • Just wondered if you've tried any whole wheat pasta or brown rice or perhaps sprouted grain bread? I'm not saying anything about salads. Hell, spinach and cucumbers are staples of my diet, was just wondering if you've experimented at all.
  • You know damned well if that were me I would have. I couldn't have left it that close. It would take like a couple of minutes max. I just wouldn't be able to leave it like that. No way, no how. Leslie Sansone has workouts on Exercise.tv and the scary thing is... The 2 mile intermediate is better than the set of hers that I…
  • You're kidding right? Fruits and veggies are a natural source of carbohydrates.
  • Just did Leslie Sansone's 2 mile intermediate walk. I feel so pathetic doing her videos but that one was better than the others I downloaded.
