my goal is to get down to 183 for new years.... i'm at 196 now and just started. is 13 lbs too much to think of for a 5wk goal?? should i lower it and be surprised and happy i made it or keep it at 183 and be potentially disappointed??? ideas noms? :P

k so i did a weigh in tonight and i'm back at my start weight even though i've exercised every night and only been over calories once in the last week. i'm bummed people! time to step it up i guess! btw... congrats to all you sexy peeps out there who have shrinking waistlines! :D good for you!!! :D

that sounds like a horrible idea... why get addicted to a drug to help weight loss? i'm afraid it might be like a bounce effect once one were to stop using the patches... and weight would come back. not good for your body.

thanks everyone! i'll try to drink more water... i don't like sugar substitutes, so i just drink it plain or w/ a splash of lemon or lime. i'll try to add a salad or something w/ my dinners, i can't really keep anything while working because i'm in between clients all day long. that's a big downfall, but the protein bars/…

ok, i made the diary thingy public. other than the soda (which i used to guzzle until last thursday) i don't think i'm doing anything horrible. i've only been over calories once, and only by 100 calories.

salad plates! what an awesome idea! never thought of that.. i'll have to try that on Thanksgiving. i'm a sucker for stuffing... i'm going to try to only have a small piece and then work out instead of sleep in front of the football games on tv in the afternoon... good luck to everyone!

i have also heard the best results are in the morning. Blood test at the dr's office is the best bet, however. Don't beat yourself up yet, it is way too early to tell for sure! Hang in there!

sweetheart, you really should have it checked. make payments to the dr if you have to. the thyroid controls your entire body system.... from your immune system, blood pressure, weight, and other systems. i have hashimoto's disease and get my blood levels checked every few months. i find that i have a horrible time losing…

i agree with the not buying the junk food. i went to walmart and weis markets and bought a bunch of different "healthy" snacks to taste test. so far i like the nature's path pumpkin-spice trail mix flax plus granola bars, the chococonut ones too, popcorn indiana's movie theatre popcorn (in moderation of course) and wheat…

i love stevia and have never heard of those soft drinks! i'll have to look for them. as far as the headaches, i just drank about 4oz of pepsi and hopefully that'll help cause the coffee and aleve were about an hr ago and didn't help. :mad: it's all about the sugars and sacrificing to get healthier. i can do this. thanks…

i am cutting out the pepsi because of the calories and sugars. caffeine isn't the issue. i did have a cup of caffeinated coffee and i still have one whopping headache. i'll look to see if i have excedrin. thanks guys!

i am so in the same boat! since college the weight has slowly added up. i'm scared to death of what i've done to myself over the past decade and hopefully i can get back to a much healthier me. we're here to help each other, right? :D
