  • COVID the past couple years has definitely not been a friend to my waistline. I was down to 170lb but now I'm pushing 230lb. Starting my journey back today!
  • hi there! i need accountability, too! i'll be your buddy if you keep me in line as well! :) i have a lot more to lose (35-40 lb) but i'm going to go slow and steady. my main concern is to eat healthier and get my blood pressure down.
  • hi there! i'm jumping back on the train, too! on a good day i am an 18w.... but i haven't had any good days lately. i've just been diagnosed with high blood pressure and i hate that. i've had low blood pressure my whole life until this year. so... back to eating healthy and try to exercise. :ohwell: let's keep each other…
  • it's definitely more complicated than step aerobics because it's so much faster... i guess i'm just not going to be a "zumba" gal... lol i'll go back to my wii fit plus and wii fit active lol and go from there! :P
  • diet drinks are actually worse for you than regular sodas because of the chemically produced sugar substitutes. the sucralose (splenda) chemical turns to formaldehyde in your body and btw... NOT GOOD lol.... if you want a soda, just go for the real stuff and go take a walk to get rid of the extra calories. :D
  • i absolutely LOVE stevia and have been using it for about a year now. i love that i don't need much and use the packets when i make my morning coffee mug. instead of three or four spoonfuls of sugar, i use only 1 packet of stevia. :D
  • sorry today isn't turning out as planned, but at least you and your son were able to go somewhere and partake in some thanksgiving festivities at your neighbors house! :D
  • i'm officially not caring about my caloric intake today. i've done some beginner zumba on the wii and later i may do wii active... but i'm focusing on fun and family today.
  • i eat a special k protein bar or some sort of granola bar most mornings if i don't get a chance to sit down and have some cereal.
  • as someone in job related to therapy, i can say YES, it does work. i work with children and families who are disfunctional and children who have behavioral and emotional issues. talking to a professional and getting a "different view" of your own thoughts can help someone with depression and other underlying issues. i…
  • nothing too special here... kristylea is my name and 80 is the year i was born :P feel better soon!
  • i absolutely LOVE my wii. i have the wii fit plus, wii active and the wii zumba should be here any day now. :D the games are fun, not the best at graphics if you are looking for that, but i love the idea that we have to move and get our butts off the couch to play the games. :D
  • don't worry, this is week two for me and my first weigh in was actually above my start weight, too. it was so not what i expected. i am now 2.4lbs down and hoping the trend continues! i weigh in every three days, same time every day so that i get a better idea of the weight. like the previous poster mentioned, weight…
  • added it to my streaming list! thanks for the tip!
  • it doesn't seem to give me an aftertaste, and i'm a huge sugar fanatic! i love stevia and truvia, they seem like an "ok" substitute since they're nature based and not chemically enhance... but that's totally up to you to try! :D
  • i love creamers! i am allergic to dairy products, so i brew my own coffee and add non-dairy creamers! love love love pumpkin spice and peppermint mocha!
  • have you tried stevia extract or agave or honey? stevia comes in packets, similar to your sweet-n-low and is a natural substitute for sugar. no calories and honestly, much much much sweeter than sugar, so you barely have to use any. i started using it several months ago and since it comes from a plant, it pretty much cooks…
  • hahahahahahah that's what i was thinking too!
  • haha... i was hoping to get an answer for the "other" screwing! lol
  • raw mushrooms??? how does that work?
  • hello! best of luck in your weight loss! :D
  • i'm not really "worried" about the food.... i'll just have to do more exercising the next couple days after the holiday. thankfully, i'm off til the following tuesday, so i can recooperate from all the yummy foods, having finished another semester of college @ Kaplan, and enjoy some time to myself away from the stressors…
  • i know when i was in sports in school and college, it was irregular. i got on birth control and then it was more regular. drinking water really helped, but all the energy going towards my sports and the stressors of being in college/ all the exercises really screwed up the hormones that cause that time. hope that helps,…
  • oh sweetie, don't go overboard w/ the pounds to lose right away. if you crash diet, it will only come back w/ a vengence. trust me, i've been there, done that. go for a more sensible goal, like a pound or 1 1/2 a week and it'll be more of a lifestyle change and not likely to "bounce" back. kristy
  • oh i 'm so there with ya! i'm on week 2 and last week i was up a lb instead of down. this week, i'm down 2.4lbs. i agree with the other MFPs, you need to eat the calories you burn and not save them. if you don't have enough calories to sustain your body, you won't function properly and the digestive process will get slower…
  • ok, so earlier this week i was very discouraged because the scale said i still didn't lose any weight. saturday morning it said i lost 2.4lbs! so hopefully this trend continues! :D how is everyone doing getting towards their goals?? have a happy sunday!
  • i agree with clearing out those foods from the house... or finding some healthier options. i have a serious sweet tooth and so i've found some organic granola bars that have SOME dark chocolate and coconut in it. i also have a granola bar that has salty pumpkin seeds (but not too salty) from natures path. it's a much…
  • are you getting enough sugar or water in your diet? are you maybe allergic to something you're eating?
  • if you don't like it, you can always grow it back out! :P
  • add spices to the chicken like hot sauce, or mustard. when cooking it why not add some fruits in the mix and cook it all together so the juices from the fruits soak into the chicken? :P "spice" up the routine by adding something to the mix. :D
