I'm thinking that you are right. I didn't ruin my metabolism over night and I won't be able to fix it over night either. I feel absolutely fantastic logging and eating more calories etc. I just can't always eat them all back. TOO much food. And I don't mean that in a dieting way, just too much food. I didn't get this way…

I'm eating a much higher carb diet so I seem to be way under on sugar and carbs but over on fat and way over on protein. This being said, I have no trouble staying within calorie range however. I think there are so many different schools of thought at work here. If it seems to work for you, I wouldn't worry about it, but…

Being very carb sensitive, I eat very little fruit or I gain weight!!! It took many years to discover how I managed to eat watermelon for lunch and gain weight! But I wasn't mixing carbs, fats, proteins etc. Just depends on the person, I guess.

I hate having to think about food and plan for it all the time. I know that NOT doing those things are part of the reason for my excess weight but it seems like there are so many other things I would rather focus my attention on. However, if I do not prepare properly and have tons of easy access, protein based foods,…

I'm so happy to see all of the "fun-sized" people. I am 5ft tall. I started this at 229. I had been 30 pounds down and the last two years of full time job, part time job plus finishing my bachelor's just allowed me to creep my way back up. Time to get down to business now! I am fighting the letdown of not being on the go…

I am currently restricting carbs for a couple of weeks just to end cravings etc. (so I miss everything) :) After that, I plan to be realistic and if there is something that I am absolutely wanting/craving etc. I think having small portion of it works better for me, psychologically, than to keep saying "no".

You look fantastic. Congrats!!! Inspirational to see that hard work pays off!
