I broke the "soda" (in Michigan, it's "pop") habit a few years ago and just have a glass once in a great while. It makes the pop I do drink, the best ever and I also don't miss it one little bit as a staple in my day! I do drink one glass of unsweetened tea in the morning and then switch to water. If I absolutely need a…

I make these all of the time. They are so wonderful and low cal/low carb and generally just yummy! I made them on the grill last summer when it was too hot to have the oven on in the house.

Also, I lost weight after stopping even though it was "diet" pop. It was triggering hunger and my body was reacting as if I was drinking something sweet! Occasionally, I…

I do not miss pop much. However, if I truly want some Coke........I just have a little, track it and move on. That way I'm not continually thinking about it. I did notice that I am less likely to do that now that I am tracking food because I can see the non-nutritional calories and they seem much more real! The more water…

Sugar and carbs do matter more than calories to a certain extent. I am really just taking everything I have learned over the years about nutrition and trying to combine it with what I know to be true about attempting to lose with PCOS. Exercise makes a tremendous difference and this week getting reacquainted with my…
