Has anynoe tried an oil spritzer? I understand you can really cut back on the amount you use with those. Where you would use a tablespoon or more if you dribble with the spritzer you use about 1/2 teaspoon.... any coaching on those? Are they worth it? I like steaming or microwave too... uber fast and no pan to clean up.…

My budget grocery list always includes, dry beans, lentils, brown rice, whole wheat pasta... then load up on good canned items like tomatos or tomato sauce, tuna, and lite cream soup like chicken or mushroom or celery... get some jarred salsa... and packet of taco seasoning and some tortillas.... in the frozen section load…

I really enjoyed the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Historical, adventure, fantasty and a bit of romance. Not eveyone's cup of tea but I really loved it.

My key to loving a special salad is: forget the lettuce! I just love the toppings! It's a sundae without the ice cream! Makes it easier to transport, eat and is less messy. Try adding: sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, pepparoni, olives, quinoa, or couscous!

Plain spirits and soda or tonic with a twist, or wedge. Avoid fruit flavored vodkas it you really want the lowest calorie and opt for the twist. And low cal light beer if that is more your style. You just really sacrufice taste there.

Perhaps to make it more kid friendly the McDonalds idea is not way off base! I thought it was fun, energetic and beautiful. It is supposed to be fantasy so take it for that and enjoy. I loved the Dangerous Liasons section at the beginning. Lots of movie moments and tips of the hats to those amazing costumes. I loved that part.

Oh Lucky you! And venison and other game meats can be so healthy and low fat! I hope some good recipes pop up here. I do a similar thing and just substitute deer or other for beef or pork and move ahead... I used to make a mean schnitzel but the frying had to stop... so no more of that!

Yep the reading thing is good... keep a novel in the pantry and tell yourself you can ONLY read it standing at the kitchen sink like you would when you were sneaking a treat! So you sneak in the kitchen... open the pantry which is part of the habit already but walk away with 2 more pages in your head instead of a snack.…

Even faster.... I just stab it with a fork, leave it whole and microwave 6 minutes...roll it over and microwave 6 more. then split it, remove seeds and scrape. Toooo simple!
