Best small nutritious meals?

I have recently been informed by my dietics consultant that due to recent illness I need to eat 5-6 small meals a day in order to maintain a steady energy level to fight my fatigue.
I'm worried that eating this often could spell disaster and leave me getting heavy again. I am prone to putting on weight very easily so it's a scary thought!
Does anyone have any tips on what foods/meals i could prepare that are small enough to stomach 5-6 times a day but dont have me exceeding 1500 calories??? I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to nutrition so any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can check out my diary. I eat 4 times a day and average around 1200-1400 calories. I use lots of recipes from www.skinnytatse.com.0
