I've done ChaLEAN Extreme, Insanity, and Turbofire and they're all great but pretty intense (or at least the latter two are). My mother's also about 50 lbs overweight; I'm hoping to help her get things started when I visit during the holidays and was planning on getting her Turbojam (I hear it's a less intense version of…

I might've not read every last syllable, but holy crap that's an incredibly inspiring and motivational story. Even got teary eyed a couple times! You've done amazing and you're beautiful--also, I think you dodged a bullet with your ex-fiance (and I cringed and laughed at the fact that you still have to see him. What are…

5'3" CW: ~128 lbs GW: 105-115 lbs by summer Mostly I just want to be toned, to complete C25K and at least one more Beachbody video, and to start to see more definition in my abs and thighs. And of course to rock a bikini as well as the high-waisted shorts + crop top trend I missed out on this summer. Feel free to add me!

SW: ~145 lbs in January CW: ~ 127 lbs GW: 105-115 lbs Hopefully by New Years I'll be either at around 120 lbs (can you tell I can't commit to numbers haha) or to lose my love handles in my current jeans (they're only so slightly there, so it's manageable!) I'd also love to save up around $500 during the holidays and buy…

Lol @ jstarz. Wow, try some of Blair's Death Sauce--I hear it's supposed to give a serious attitude adjustment (which you desperately need). P.S. You're not supposed to use a semicolon after 'yes'; you can simply use a comma. See source (since you love sources): http://theoatmeal.com/comics/semicolon

Even baby cows eat grass on top of it!

YES! I've basically never been able to wear the Halloween costumes I wanted, so I'm so down for this. Starting weight: 127 lbs (ish, I was hovering around this last time I checked) Goal for Halloween: Under 120 lbs (so at least a 7 lb loss) LET'S DO THIS, PEOPLE!!

For everyone confused as to why she claimed to "only" be able to eat either 900 calories or 2600, my highly unqualified analysis is because if she kept up the 900 calories and lost the weight then people would have been impressed that she did it. Sort of like she's saying, "Hey, see! I was overweight because I wanted to be…

If you're going by BMI, then yes both of the examples you gave are considered underweight.
-
Lol. I'm three inches taller and not considered underweight until I'm below 105 lbs. Try recalculating? Anyway, I'm here to watch the show (sorry I don't have anything productive to offer you because I lose at around 1400-2000 depending on how much I exercise that day).

Me too; I already have my cocktail ready.

I'm back on MFP after a month of hectic finals and moving apartments, and I brought 7 extra lbs that I'd lost back with me. Your starting weight for September: 129.8 lbs as of this morning (will NOT break 130 again!) Your personal goal for September: 123 lbs (feel it's best to be realistic haha) Your personal…

Do you have any protein shakes? I found that it tremendously helped with my soreness; it was hardly noticeable on the days I'd have one. If so, maybe you need to spend extra time stretching before and after, that always helps a bit, too.
-
Buahaha you're amazing.

Wow, can some of you people just let things go? She's already really politely explained her reaction. Honestly, you'd think your time would be worth more to you. OP, if you switch out that slimfast in the morning for eggs fried in butter and bacon/sausage or even a protein shake made with natural peanut butter you'd have…

Go to Safeway or Superstore; 4 kg of frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts ~$25

Had a good giggle.

This. I did low carb for a few months and then raised my carbs to around 80-100, refeeding with 250 carbs on some days. Guess what? The weight stayed off. It's not the low carb lifestyle, it's the lifestyle you resumed after.

I basically stopped once I hit 127 lbs (17 lbs from goal) and only use the scale now for the group you made! Measurements and how clothes fit are definitely big motivators now, because I'm able to fit into my old clothes again. Plus I like checking out the muscles that are starting to be defined every week or so. I don't…

(Midsized Microwave + Cinder block) / 1.97 (i.e. 35 lbs) ETA: Initially started at 160 lbs, only started using the ticker at 140 because I didn't want my boyfriend to know (or confirm) that I weighed more than or as much as him for a while, haha.
-
Since boyfriends began, longest I was single for was a year and that was the year until I met my current boyfriend of four years! Before him, longest relationship was a mere 6 months. So, go us! *It's late and 'boyfriends' wasn't supposed to be possessive (though some of them were)

I did month one of insanity with my runners and it was fine, but in month two I noticed that (**trigger warning if you're grossed out easily**) my sweat basically flew everywhere so I'd slip every time I'd try to do the side push ups or basically anything that required moving in any direction. I can't use my runners on my…

BSc in Management and Systems Science, because I'm lame and love math, business, and programming! Initially I just wanted to major in business, but I found that it wasn't challenging enough and I stumbled upon this lovely major. Is it sad to say I love studying the topics of my current major? haha
-
WOW, in three months!? You're amazing and an inspiration. Definitely know what I'm doing after Insanity & CLX!

This is my before, I was around 160 lbs here (my heaviest): and here Same dress, around 125 lbs here Still have about 10-15 lbs to go (depending on body composition), but I'm getting somewhere! ETA: I'm 5'3"!

Thanks for all of your responses, everyone! It's true, I might be overtraining, but I find that I easily lose track and once I take a rest day I basically take many rest days. My discipline isn't strong enough yet to only take one rest day (it's like stopping at just one chip). So I think instead of decreasing training…

I feel bad for your pals on here. (Mainly bumping to read responses, this thread is lol.)

Month 2 is definitely hard, but I think that's primarily because it's longer, I only find the exercises marginally more difficult. But either way, I MUCH prefer the month 2 exercises to the month 1 ones. For example, I hated pure cardio in month 1, but I love it in month 2. Overall it's much more enjoyable in month 2, in…

Personally, I didn't do recovery week. I took about 3 days off and did my own thing (hiked, lifted, etc) and then I jumped right into month 2. I'm not missing that recovery week at all!
