Id work on trying to run as far as you can at 10:00 pace until you can do it for whole 5k. You will see big improvements at beginning but it will get less and less. I would use Hal Higdon's program, he is a real good running "guru". http://www.halhigdon.com/5K%20Training/5-Knovice.htm

Definitely use Hal Higdon's training schedule. Ive used it for my first two and am using it now for my third in May

Im flying outt from Boston to do the full. Cant wait. Someone above said they dont have time, Use Hal Higdon's program which is 18 weeks. You would start training on the 27th of December. Im bored and need to go to bed.
