I understand where you are coming from. I have 2 awesome kids that require all of my time and energy. Between school, hockey, ball hockey, ballet, soccer and swimming lessons. We ALWAYS have something going on. I depend heavily on my slow cooker. I am married but my husband works a lot. I spend more time with his laundry…

I think it is all based on the individual. Your best bet is to track your weight during it for a few months and see what your body does. I tend to retain water starting 3-4 days before it starts and I loss it all 1-2 days before it is over. Avoiding salt and extra carb can help, also drink lots of water. I skip weigh-ins…

Good for you trying to help your friend! Hopefully he will check it out and find what he needs. I too am a chocoholic! I will have to wait a while before I can start re-introducing it in to my diet. I don't think I could control myself just yet :) You are right gekcsk any loss is a good loss! I like your idea of not depriving yourself. Once I get in to more of a groove I will revisit that idea. I think for now I…

I made it for the first time a few days ago, I cut it in half and removed the seeds. I placed it in a dish with 1?4 inch water. Covered with plastic and microwaved for 10-12 mins. Use a fork to remove the 'meat' of the squash, place it in a baking dish, add 1/2 of a cooked onion, 1 clove of cooked garlic, 1/2 tsp of red…

My husband is a junk food junkie! It makes it very difficult to lose weight. I try to keep his junk separate from the rest of the food, but that proves to be difficult since we don't have a big kitchen or much storage space. He has a very narrow perspective on eating healthy. He believes all healthy food will taste gross.…
