It is very daunting, and you have to do what is right for you and what works for you. If you did do it, then yes if you want to do it from your start I am sure that is fine. I have changed my start date and weight to January 1st 2016 when I was at my heaviest. As I actually joined in 2012 it was showing my start weight as 15lb lower than I am right now. Wow that's really good. Yes I agree slower is more sustainable. I only want to lose this weight once and keep it off. I am currently allowing myself 2000 calories a day, but averaging around 1800. I am only competitive with myself. I want to do better than I have before. I will put my start date as 1st March and then I can record the 15lb I have lost so far. So 1st March 2016 to 31st May 2017.
