Just catching up on posts and have just seen this and my first response was 'oh great as if diabetes isn't bad enough now I'm at higher risk of Alzheimer's!' Having watched my Nanna gradually disappear with that dreadful disease, this scares me almost more than diabetes.

I'm back again, but unfortunately this group seems to have teetered out :( I guess if everyone has been like me, that would explain it. Its a shame as when it was first started it was really good and so helpful talking to people who knew what it was like to be this size. I may keep posting in the hope that others join in…

Still struggling. Don't know whats wrong with me, just can't stop eating :'(

Very very mild, only stop breathing 5 times an hour. But my oxygen saturation drops quite low, so I have been given a cpap to use. Will have to weight and see if it helps.

Back at the sleep clinics for results, to find out if I have sleep apnea.

Had to make last minute changes to dinner due to cleaning the oven, but still nearly 400 calories under :)

Ive set my calories quite high to get back on track. I was 400 under so happy with that :)

What pills is the doctor recommending? What country are you in? I guess there are different things available in different countries.

Fitbit is finally back on my wrist. I am at work so am getting my 250 steps and hour to get my dot by walking to the far toilets. I really want to start achieving my 7000 steps a day so that I can then increase it to the national target of 10000 steps a day.

I have a good day planned, that also allows treats so I don't feel deprived. Fingers crossed my post later will say I'm under my calories.

One thing I definitely took from the show, if i injure my foot get treatment straight away. Better to lose a toe than a whole foot if possible. Of course I would rather lose neither and get my diabetes / weight under control.

I am just watching Panarama about Type II Diabetes. It was on BBC One about 3 weeks ago and I am just getting around to watching it. I think I will be keeping this recording and rewatching it every time I'm tempted to eat rubbish. It really hit home what my future holds if I don't do something about it now!

Update on my tiredness, it has improved with the vitamin d, but it is still very very bad and controlling everything in my life. The doctor is sending me to a sleep clinic in a couple of weeks to see if I have sleep apneoa :(

I am actually quitting the gym as I haven't been in months, but continue to pay out every month. It is very unlikely I will start going back out in the cold and dark now to go to aquafit at 7.30pm. But I am going to get back into wearing my fitbit every day and doing weekly challenges with the people on here and find other…

I have definitely lost a few months with this. I was aiming for May when I am supposed to be going to Sorrento. The holiday is now in jeopardy as there is no way I can do all that walking and sightseeing as I am right now :(

This was my last post back in June, today I have no idea what I weigh, but I will get weighed in the morning and post my update / new starting point.

I have been awol, but i have now returned to the fold. Hopefully others will too, it was a good group at the start and I found it really helpful talking to people who understand what it is like to be so overweight, rather than just a couple of stone.

I'm back. Been away trying Slimming World, but just couldn't make it work with my diabetes, too much of the free food is carbs. So I'm back on here giving it another try :) is the group still active?
