  • I have been in your shoes, and it took me 3 years to get him tested...but turned out he was "superman" according to the doctor. Don't sweat it too much. For me, after 8 years of trying, I lost 20 lbs, and we quit trying. I now have a 7 month old. My body is just very sensitive to the hormone balance (it was in the normal…
  • Welcome! Feel free to add me...one beautiful baby, but I am having issues getting the weight off and the body back after a c-section...lol! It will happen, just need to keep on plugging!
  • I have been using a spoonful of chia seeds in all of my smoothies. I have tried them straight out of the bag, and that is fine, but I've also soaked them in the liquid that i am using for my smoothie for about 10 minutes to soften them. Also pretty good, more of a tapioca consistancy...I am typically too lazy to wait those…
  • I am right there with you...a friend talked me into joining 2 years ago, but I didn't get serious until a few weeks ago, when I realized I was turning 40 in 2013! I have a 7 month old son, and have had some health issues, with several surgeries that kept me lazier than I should have been...pretty sure the last surgery on…

  • I cannot wait to try some of these. Right now, my favorite one to make is: 1/2 banana frozen strawberries plain yogurt and some skim milk a little applejuice to sweeten if I need it a spoonful of chia seeds. Gives me some good energy to start my day!

  • For me, tracking every thing I eat in the journal is a huge help. It makes me very aware of how much I tend to eat and overeat...mmmm food...anyway, awareness of how much I eat really helps me the most.
  • I know how scary debt is...we have just scratched our way out of $45,000, and it was not easy. We did the Dave Ramsey plan, which was amazing. He has the heart of a teacher, and doesn't just make you feel guilty. I saw some others say this but it is so important...House and utilities first and foremost! You have to have a…
  • There is so much to love at Trader Joe's! I love their frozen turkey patties, the frozen indian dishes are great when I am in a hurry, the frozen orange chicken is another great one. Also, their "this apple walked into a bar" cereal bars are amazing! We also buy the organic applesauce and pear sauce for my baby...so much…
  • Just restarted this journey myself a week or so ago! I'm down 4 lbs so far...long ways to go!
  • Feel free to add me! I am just getting restarted after having a baby late last year...I am so excited you have your husband on this journey with you! Mine is great with the healthy eating, but he is a natural beanpole, and I am not. But he is very supportive of my need to be healthier anyway!
  • Feel free to add me! I have just gotten serious again myself, and have just recently noticed that I am no longer a size 12 (I like to think that i am still a size 6, but hey, its all good!). You are on the right track!
  • Feel free to add me! My husband and i had issues getting pregnant (8 years of issues) and it was all a matter of my weight. I now have a 7 month old son that was a "surprise!" (we had quit trying) after I dropped just 20 lbs. Sounds like you are starting out right! Small steps can lead to huge changes! I would love to have…
  • Feel free to add me! I am serious about getting myself healthy this year, and would love the company!
  • Welcome, and great that you started this so young! Wish I would have been that smart in my 20's...but I figure anytime is a good time to start! Feel free to add me!
  • Welcome! Support is definitely essential! I am lacking the social life currently too, but happy to have a wonderful son keeping me busy as he learns to crawl! feel free to add me!
  • I am needing to lose 55 lbs here. feel free to add me!
  • Welcome! I completely relate...I am trying to lose around 55 lbs, and a bit limited myself due to a chronic pain condition. You can do it! Just pace yourself, and keep looking forward! My 7 month old son is my motivation...I want to be more active with him as he gets more mobile (started almost crawling today!)...good luck…

  • Hi All! I am a mom of one (7 month old boy), and looking for some support on this new journey. I turn 40 in less than a year, and decided its high time I stop taking my health for granted...plus, my son is becoming mobile, and i really need to keep up with him! I am at around 190 now, and would like to get down to the…
  • I totally can relate to the comfort foods! I joke that I am from a family of emotional eaters...we eat when we are happy, sad, mad and glad! You can do this!!! I'm right there with ya! I lost my mom 4 years ago to cancer, and it made my head swim and my weight soar...Sending a friend request!
