Maybe you need to look at your weekly calories. I'd suggest logging those weekends. They may be what is throwing you. As far as your metabolism is concerned, don't forget that you don't burn as many calories now as you did when you were heavier so you will not lose weight at the calorie level that may have worked then.…

Well done. Quite the difference already.:flowerforyou:

There's an entry in the MFP data base for "walking carrying infant or 15lb load." Does that sound about right?
-
You missed one of the most important points. If you are not losing weight...(or should that be "loosing"?) you need to eat more.

My closet looks a lot like yours does now. I have started buying smaller sizes but it is a pretty sparse wardrobe so far. What I DON'T want is to leave myself the option of drifting up to those bigger sizes again so these purges amount to a commitment, don't you think? What I find amusing is that though I reached goal four…

I dug out the shorts and capris I've been wearing every summer for the past 5 years and they DON'T fit. Off to buy some two sizes smaller.

Sounds like he/she would be a lot of fun at a dinner party.

My mascara runs faster than I do. Running is a mental sport...and we're all insane. I run so my goals in life will continue to get bigger instead of my belly.

I am a little old lady with a very low BMR. On a 1200 calorie diet I was to lose .2 lbs a week. Hard to maintain motivation at that rate. So when I was wanting to lose weight, I used my exercise calories to create a bigger deficit...might have eaten back a few but not most. Now that I am on maintenance, I try to eat them…

Ooo...that weight loss around your middle is really making the most of your other curves. Well done.

I don't have an answer to your question but you have a valid point...When my grandsons were little I used to take to my bed the day after their visits I'd be so tired. Maybe you could log it as circuit training. We spent a lot of time running around in circles....ie with me holding the back of the bike to provide support…

Oh definitely worth it! And his "pain" was over the minute he got the nipple in his mouth.

I was so traumatized by my son's PKU test (the heel prick) that the memory is still fresh some 45 years later. They have to get a dab of blood in several different squares on a card. When the test was first done they didn't get a sufficient sample so we got called in to have the test repeated when he was two months old.…

Same problem here. Let me know if you get the answer. Day after day I was told that to lose more I had to eat more but I broke the cardinal rule and ate 1200 calories a day! :noway:

I agree with second poster. What food do I have to give up to have the body of a well endowed 21 year old?

I tried something new today. On my computer I had a playlist of the songs I liked to exercise to...started with warm up tunes, followed by fast ones for an aerobic work out and ending with some slow and mellow ones for cool down. Well I transferred the lot of them to my I pod and played them on "shuffle'. (Random order.) I…

Hey Nana. Very similar stats here. (Though my user name is gramma, in fact I answer to Nana.). I am 68. 5'4" and 125lbs. I started last August with an all time high weight of 146. (Some of that was from Prednisone ...I am off it now.) I have found it much harder to lose weight this time round so I am really determined to…

From your profile I see that you are 5'7" and that your goal weight is 105lbs. Though you may have made progress in your battle with your eating disorder, this desire to be very underweight suggests that you have more work to do. I too would encourage you to discuss these issues with your therapist.

I like all vegetables. My favourites are asparagus, yellow wax beans, parsnips, onions, and beet greens. I don't dislike egg plant or vegetable marrow but I rarely cook them. I don't find them great by themselves and doctoring them up so they have some flavour just seems like too much trouble.

One of my MFP friends does this and has been successful in maintaining her weight for some time now.

I got my Fitbit September 24, 2012. Today I got my badge for 1,000 miles.

No expert here but I think your TDEE is based on a weekly activity pattern. When calculating your maintenance calories you should perhaps look at it in the same way...ie on a weekly basis. So on your heavy exercise days eat more, on your rest days eat less. Just make sure that over the course of the week your numbers…

Oh and about adjusting calorie goals. On MFP I put my activity level as sedentary. The only exercises I log are those that my Fitbit cannot detect...swimming, cycling, and elliptical trainer. Otherwise I rely on my Fitbit to keep track of my activity.

I have an even older model...the Fitbit Ultra. Like the One, it shows my steps, flights of stairs, mileage, and calorie burn. It will not sync with a smart phone or tablet. It is small and I generally clip it on my bra...though I learned the hard way not to do that during a heavy workout...it did not like getting wet. That…

So true. When I was at my smallest I was about 100 lbs at 5'4". My ribs showed and my pelvis was so prominent that I couldn't wear slim skirts but my breeder hips were never less than 35 1/2 inches. No way I have ever worn pants that were less than a 6. That being said I had the fastest most pain and drug free deliveries a…
