For years I travelled because of my job and so this was a frequent problem....until I discovered that it is quite alright to throw away the menu. I would walk in, ask for half a grapefruit, one soft poached egg and one slice of multigrain toast. And I would get it every time though that was not a combination that was on…

68 years old Started MFP in August 2012 Weighed 146lbs then. Achieved goal weight of 130 in mid December. Current weight is 125 Because of my age, weight and sedentary life style my TDEE was only about 1400 calories. As I lost weight, that number went down. It is now 1330. On a 1200 calorie diet MFP predicted that I would…

Thanks so much. Heading off to visit now.

Perhaps ask for references since you want to be sure you won't be left holding the bag for the rent. Rather than interrogating a prospective room mate you might find it helpful to make a list of your own habits to share with them. This would open discussion and alert them to possible areas of conflict. Mine, for instance,…

Boys usually are a little later hitting puberty than girls so I think with young people it is very common for the boy in a couple to be a year or two older than the girl. I am 68 and when I was growing up, back in the 50's and early 60's, most couples married by the time they were in their early twenties. (probably because…

In the 1950's the average new house was 1,200 square feet. Ours was 600. We didn't vacuum any more often and we had a lot less area to deal with. We cleaned 1 yes ONE bathroom. We had two sets of clothes on the go at any given time. Those that were worn to school or the office and the old ones we changed into when we got…

I don't break mine down by meals so it looks at all of them.

My husband had bariatric surgery in 1987 and lost 130 pounds in a matter of months. He was 45 at the time and never had any problems with loose skin. They are no longer doing the type of operation he had since he and everyone he knew who had had the procedure had to have it reversed some 5-10 years later. In his case, scar…

It will be 50 years this coming August and he's still my favourite guy.

Your question presupposes that one had some to lose.:grumble:

I must also respond to all of those who have told you to drink water. Is it just an age thing? That is the last thing I would want to do because if I was really wanting food, the water would consumption would have me up every hour on the hour fighting with myself about making a trip to the fridge on my way back from the…

Are you sure it is a stomach hunger? If it is, then I say EAT. I'd have a bowl of cereal. It might put you over by 200 calories but you say it doesn't happen that often and you have to learn to LIVE like this. If once a week or so you go over by that much it isn't going to matter.

My diary is open. Definitely real food.

I was playing with my three year old grandson and needed a bathroom break. He was reluctant to interupt our game and as I started out of the room, he called after me, Pee fast, Nana.

My sore knees. I was slim till I turned 50 and after that though I had gained 20 lbs or so, I didn't much care. I was no heavier than my friends and I wasn't planning to do the bikini thing again anyway. Then my knees started bothering me. And I am a recreational walker. Most of my social life revolves around my walking…

Do you happen to know if Levi 503's come in kid's sizes? BTW How tall are you? or what is your pant length? I think that would be a factor if you are heading into kid sizes.
-
Where do you buy jeans? My son is 45 and has always worn a 28" waist when it comes to pants. He is not a shopper so every Christmas I buy him the Levi 503's that are the only thing he will wear. It is a search!!! I don't know if actual waist size is the same as pant size but given the trouble I have already, I sure…

Head lettuce (I eat it in wedges) and those little 35 calorie yogurt cups that I have become addicted to.

I chose my user name because I the main reason I decided to lose weight was because my knees were bothering me a lot. I am older and my problem was osteoarthritis. I wasn't keen on the idea of knee replacement surgery so decided to lose weight and work on the muscles that supported the knees. I was not very overweight but…

Red Bones by Ann Cleeves. I like British police mysteries. I have just recently discovered Ann Cleeves. She is prolific...I have read 8 of her books in the past month and still have a list of titles to get to.

It is frustrating though isn`t it? I have some MFP friends that can bun 1,000 + calories just going for a walk. I often suffer from burn envy.

Tea...lots of orange pekoe tea. I do not add milk or sugar so I don't log it.

It was 25.1 when I started MFP last August. Now it is 21.8.

Chocolate! I was never horribly tempted by chocolate bars but if I got a sudden craving for one, I could be sure my period would start the following day. I don't think I have eaten more than about 10 of them since I hit menopause 14 years ago.

^^^^This. I am really too old and out of it to weigh in on this topic but the way I see it, the fact that you`ve posted the question suggests that you are not comfortable with sleeping with your friend when you are exploring the possibilities of this new relationship. If you are feeling uneasy about it I`d say, don`t do it.
