  • Thanks or he great info. I've been trying to add more and more super foods, less sugars and salt and only having good fats. I like the "clean"approach. I just didn't realize I've been working towards it already. BTW. All these different challenges are providing us all with a wealth of training and vital opportunities to…
  • Are vinegar , mustard, olive oil, coffee- processed? I'm not sure what is and what isn't .
  • Well as I read this, my 16 year old daughter just came in and kissed me on the top of my head and my 13 year old daughter is singing to the cat. Good stuff. :) Today I took a 2.5 mile walk in a tree-lined neighborhood and I am continuing the weekend challenge to try something new. I am taking a Zumba class for the first…
  • Created a home workout during the biggest loser 4 hours tonight. During the show I did weight training, squats, push-ups, lunges etc...During the commercials I went on the elliptical . Sweaty, but very motivating . I've never done a class t the gym, but I'm going to check the schedule and we'll see.

  • Good week for me. Happy. Jan. 2 - 197.2 Jan. 9 - 194.4 Jan. 16 - 190.6 Lost 6.6 lbs. so far. Working to get to 180 by end of challenge. I'm also in another group that weights in on Saturdays so I can't have any splurge days. It's working for me.
  • Looks like you made giant strides this week in creating a kitchen that will help you succeed. All that work burns calories too. I worked for probably 3 hours in prep and packaging. I also tried 2 new recipes this week. I'm feeling victorious before the week even starts
  • I'll check it out, thanks
  • I am cooking lots of low fat proteins like chicken, tilapia, hb eggs and egg white muffin quiches . I weight them into containers, write the calories and carbs on the package and I'm ready to go. I try and do this with fruits, veggies and dip, healthy lunchables, my own trail mixes, my own salad dressings, my own fruit and…
  • What works for me...mfp and challenges like this. 1). Smart shopping-finding the best nutritional bargains. For example, if you need spaghetti sauce, or sour cream, or bread (etc) Look at the labels of every sour cream (or whatever) is on the shelf and find the lowest calorie, carbs, sodium...etc and highest in protein,…
  • Really weird. Right before New Years, I was down to 193. Then I "gained" like 5 lbs. I was eating very carefully-no parties-and working out at the gym everyday. I am brand new to the gym, and maybe there was an adjustment time-Who knows. Now it looks like I'm going back down. Yessss 1/2 - 197.2 1/9 - 194.4 1/16 - 1/23 -…
  • I'm a night owl. I do like working out early as a sense of accomplishment but I like evening best. I had insomnia a few night ago and did a 40 minute ab workout at 2:30 am. I Was jazzed.
  • Doing better every day because of the challenges thanks
  • Pretty good weekend with pre-planning. Found that I can print my planned day, stick it in my purse as a reminder and check list. I love checking things off. Also as I pre-planned, I could see if I was high in certain areas and change those foods before I got "In Trouble". My workout plan this week- M-Burst training cardio…

  • Sat up last night mapping out the best super-foods for the fewest calories and carbs. This is a great way to develop some "perfect food days" I'm really excited. Thanks
  • This is so great reading everyone's posts. I was embarrassed about how hard the side planks we're till I saw that many of us had trouble with them. Now I can laugh at myself and keep trying. I was able to do them all, but I know I'll get even better at them. Thanks. It's cool that we all could do the same workout.
  • I totally love your challenges. You are giving us all kinds of new ways to get healthy. I'm so excited. Thank you
  • I'll give this a try along with my ab work at the gym. I also have started doing ab crunches to the beat of the car radio. I started with Christmas songs now I just crunch to any song with a good beat. My abs are like jello after having 6 kids and no workouts. Now I'm loving getting stronger.
