Hello everyone . I stared W30 for the first time last week on Feb. 23rd. So far so good. I've lost about 90 lbs staying really low carb. I still want to lose about 50 more. I've researched VB6, Paleo and Eat to Live programs. I think this strict-no sugar- approach is my best option. I'm excited to get recipes and tips from…

So tired of eating perfectly weighed 100 grams of celery during the day then eating everything in sight after everyone goes to bed. This bad habit has really stalled my progress and goals. I'm going to Europe for 10 days but wanted to join while i could. my cut off will be 9pm no more calories and I should try and go o bed…

Hello, like many of us, I turned 50 this year. I was very motivated to get healthy for a trip to Europe . I leave in 3 days. It took me about 14 months to lose 114 pounds. I still want to lose about 30 more pounds but am happy with my progress. I decided that I am a sugar addict so I do very low carb-20-40, 1200 calories,…

Welcome to mfp. You are in a great place full of losers like me. My goals are similar to yours. I started last march and can't believe I only have about 26 more pounds to go. I recommend surfing around this site to get acquainted with it. If you click on " my home" you can check all your updates and comment on your friends…

Can so relate to the crying and re weighing yourself to check your new low number. I have even taken a picture on my phone of my latest lows...just for my own proof. Super congrats. The others are right. You are so incredibly pretty. Can't imagine the gorgeousness yet to come.

I make crustless veggie quiche and taco turkey muffins. About 30 cals for the quiche and 70 cals for the taco muffins. Both of these recipes can be made into muffins or in a casserole dish? I'm playing with a low carb chile that is really yummy. G.turkey enchiladas with low carb, w.w.tortillas are killer too. A fast recipe…

I like to put all my quiche ingredient in the mfp recipe builder so that I know the exact nutrition for each quiche muffin. Then I have quick on the go breakfast all week. I try and use low carb, low salt ingredients like egg whites, chicken, diced spinach, light pepper jack cheese, bell peppers, green onion, fresh garlic,…

Low carb Really works for a sugar addict like me. For me that means mostly great vegetables, berries, healthy proteins and some good fats like avocados, raw nuts and olive oil. Little by little I try and create cleaner, less processed meals and really like watching my sodium (so bacon is very minimal for me) I have lots of…

I started low carb to help with weight loss but now I see it as a healthy lifestyle choice for me and my very fit family of 6 kids. Healthy proteins , veggies and some good fats are a yummy , nutritious way to stay fit. I've been able to lose about 110 pounds in 13 months and have 30-40 to go. Feel free to watch my diary…

Getting ready for high school daughter's dance completion I put on last years school sweatshirt . It was so big that she gave me one of hers( that's really big on her..she's 5"'10" and 120). It fit a little loose. I'm amazed and suprized. My family loves hugging the smaller me-but they always love me too.

Congrats on fighting the good fight and not being afraid to ask for help. You are way ahead of most people. So sorry for some of the rude pushy people. There's tons of supportive friends on mfp. When I started last march I was also overwhelmed by the huge confusing info out there. I just started by writing my calorie count…

I agree with many people that what works for some doesn't necessarily apply to everyone . I think it's great that you are staying under in all your other limits , but I agree that you are smart to look at ALL the nutritional components of your diet-even if it is not convenient . When you start tracking carbs and sugar, you…

I'm working out despite T.O.M. Issues. I feel like giving myself excuses, but I have walked 4 of my 6 miles for he day and I know I'll finish. This is a growing attitude for me. Progress !

A special NSV happened last Tuesday as I was picking my daughter up from jr. High. As I walked up to her group, she had got a big smile on her face and quickly introduced me to everyone. When we got to the car she told me how cute and skinny I looked. NSV-my daughter is proud of how I look - she is really happy for me and…
