It's really a lifestyle change for me, as some other mentioned, so when the holidays come around, my motivation is boosted up, but I also know I'm ready for this! You just have to think of it as a lifestyle change and you can rock the holidays!

I can't afford a HRM (in all honesty), but it seems like MFP is generous with it's calories burned, so I try to just stick to the number the machine gives me until I can afford a HRM.

I use the elliptical as well and it gives me maybe 130 calories burned for 20 minutes, 250 for 40 minutes.
