I'm starting Banish Fat Boost Metabolism tonight... I'm at a beginner level so I'm going to do what I can do and push myself through as much as I can. I'm going to be rotating it with a Leslie Sansone video (walk a mile every day) and a Weight Loss Pilates video. For the first 2 weeks I'm aiming for 4-5 days a week, so…

My dogs dislike the cold weather, so they hardly walk at all in the winter, unless it's a nice, warmer day. Usually around 30-40 minutes on the weekends. During the week they run around their fenced area and play inside. In the summer we try to walk 30 minutes 5 times a week. I have three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and…

Definitely add me! 20lbs is my first goal and I'd defintely be happy to see it by June!

Ditto, almost 27, have about 40 lbs to lose (my goal, should be 50-60 probably). Focusing on clean eating and more exercise (which I hate!), and always looking for new friends and motivators!

my favourite easy thing to do with my slowcooker is just make shredded pork or chicken for other meals. I put a big pork tenderloin or two or 6-8 chicken breasts in the slow cooker on low for 8 hours or so, cover it with chicken broth or veggie broth and a bunch of garlic. Then I have amazing meat that shreds effortlessly…

I tend to agree that the quality of calories matters - try to focus on clean eating. I'm struggling with this right now but giving it my best shot. While I don't want to start another "please analyze my dairy" thread, I am VERY open to any feedback that more experienced MFP'ers might have (PM Me!!) . And feel free to take…

saving for later - I LOVE cauliflower!

I feel your anxiety - I'm the same way - I want it NOW, but I know it can't be "overnight." When I think about it though - a year or two isn't that long to wait to be rid of a body that I've had my entire life. One day at a time is important here, and I'm learning to be happy with who I am now - which is so very hard for…

I usually do cinnamon and apple - maybe with a couple walnuts, but some days I use almond butter and a tsp on strawberry jelly! YUM!

Would love new friends! Started at 220 on January 1st, was down to 206.5 on Friday but did a ton of outdoor work on the weekend = sore muscles = 209 today :(. Desperate to see 195 by February 14! I'm 26 and 5'6".

a great tip that I use a lot - spray a muffin tin with a bit of olive oil spray, put a piece of low fat deli meat or turkey bacon in the bottom, then crack an egg over it. Make a dozen or so of these - they last in the fridge for about a week! Just warm (or not), put on an english muffin (or not). Could also put cheese,…

I never drink a pop myself. The only time I wil l have some is when I'm at the movies with my husband and I'll have a sip or two of his Coke (I get a water). About once a year I'll drink rye and gingerale. Water and tea, and I never crave it. I did for awhile but cold turkey worked best for me (and yes, there were…

I'm working my way through a big container of the plain Vega One. It's great but I think I'll buy Vanilla next time. I have a plain vanilla whey protein power that I LOVE, but I like all of the extra stuff in the Vega One (nutrients, probiotics, etc.). I have it with a banana, water, and frozen fresh cranberries 3-5 times…

A trip to Mexico! Not really a reward... but I'm really hoping to hit 195 before we leave on February 24th. 12 more lbs and five weeks!
-
amazing, I can't believe how great 170 looks! I started at 220 too on January 2nd, down to 207 and really working hard on it! GREAT WORK!
-
5'6 here! Started at 220lbs, down to 207 since Jan 2nd! I'm really just aiming for 190 right now. After that 180 would be nice. I don't ever remember being less than 188. I was 240 was I was 13. I carry my weight pretty well, in a size 12-14 right now, so being comfortable and confident in size 10 would be really nice.…

HUGE tea drinker here! I'm obsessed with DavidsTea teas! I drink maybe one black coffee a week (usually on the weekends - it gives me heartburn), and black tea 2/3 times a week before work. The rest of the week I drink herbal, green, oolong, rooibos, and white teas. Usually 4-5 cups a day! Helps when I'm trying to lose…

yes, I definitely feel it the next day after his yoga session! Check out these two for sure - I found them SUPER helpful for breathing and posture and they are "easy" and relaxing - not strenous but great for stretching, relaxing, and I'm sure I'm still getting a strengthening workout and my heart rate does rise! Yoga for…

12.5lbs since the 2nd! Going to take my measurements this weekend and start tracking inches every weekend!

I've been using that Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga DVD for a few weeks now and I really enjoy it. I can barely make it through the first set of yoga but am making it through the second chapter which is more pilates-like. They don't build on each other so you can switch around and do the warm up and cool down too. The ONLY…

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and to all my new "friends," thanks for helping me stay on track. I'm down over 10 lbs since I wrote this post - will soon be halfway to my first goal! I'm already noticing a difference, even though I'm right around my previous heaviest weight in five years. Pulled a few pieces of…

amazing transformation - you look great! and happy! I have 16 lbs to go to get where you are - I can't wait, and this has reminded me just how great 199lbs looks!

I love quinoa pudding, reminds me of my favourite dessert (rice pudding) but way healthier. I eat it for breakfast 1-2 times a week. There are recipes online, but basically its 1/4 dry quinoa (cooked with water), 1/2 cup almond milk, a TON of cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg, and a couple almonds and dried cranberries or raisons.…

Thanks everyone, the support is great. I've been carefully tracking calories - I think that focus even for a few weeks will be a step in the right direction. Today I tracked everything this morning before work so I know what I can eat today to stay within my 1200-1300 calorie range. I have no problem getting my 8+ glasses…

Thanks! I'm moving my elliptical to the house this weekend - it's a cheap one but will get my heart rate up. My goal to start is 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes. I also get out in the snow for walks with my dogs as much as possible - usually on the weekends since it is dark when I get home from work and horribly cold here…
