what I find very useful are cooking books with calories stated for each recipe. that way you can pick and choose what you like and still have control over your calorie intake. works for me :-)

love the book! i read a few people weren't happy that some of the recipes were for 6 people, but i don't mind that at all...it goes into the freezer for some other day when i don't fancy cooking. i just made the bolognese sauce and also the minestrone soup...yum!

Hi! I quite like soy milk, it has a slightly nutty taste. I started using it a few years ago as an alternative to cow's milk. I still drink cow's milk most of the time, but alternate occasionally with soy milk. Just have a go and see if you like it!

Hi, personally, I don't weigh every week. Once a month is good enough to keep you on track. It will only get frustrating when you don't get the results you want, but most people forget that when they start working out they build up muscle mass at the same time, which weighs more than fat! Good luck

Hi, I get shaky too, it is low blood sugar. The bad thing is, that you only notice low blood sugar levels when it is too late, you will feel shaky by then. don't worry about comments like that... i know it is easier said than done, but you're out there doing something about your weight. be proud of yourself! you never know, someone might try to chat you up in the supermarket or something like that next, and then your confidence goes through the roof :-)
